Did any FP users once own a Cybiko?

Remember around 2000 and 2001 there was this awesomely new wireless enterteinment device called the Cybiko and later, the Cybiko Extreme?

Well Facepunch, I was cleaning out my room and I found mine, in the box with the charger and serial cable...but no install cd. :frown:
This made me think.
Did any FP users once own one as well? Did you ever use it for anything?
It seemed like I was the only kid in town who was able to afford one at Toys R Us and I barely any of the games I had on it.
I do remember however that you could expand it with a 1MB memory card of if you wanted to be the badass kid, buy the 32mb MP3 player!.

But what was the whole wireless thing? did I get then 802.11b wireless or make cell calls?
No.
You could only communicate with any other Cybiko units which were close to you and if you were like me, there were none. :frown:

I have a gray transparent one. It cost me 38 dollars at a Big Lots when it used to be called Pick n Save or whatever. I couldn't find anyone else with one and my dad wouldn't let me download stuff for it so I never used it. I found it a few years ago and looked up places where I could download apps I never got to try. The official site doesn't exist anymore.

My brother had one of these. I thought it looked stupid as shit and he NEVER got it to work right (he always refused to use the instruction manual for anything), so that's probably why.
