I live in a certain part of Malaysia, where a forest reserve is located (I live IN the forest). The community is not as tightly knit as I'd want it to be, but we all take care of each other enough.
Anyway, a few weeks ago my dogs started barking like mad at something just outside the wire fence which separates my garden from the dense jungle. Upon closer inspection, I find out that they're barking at another dog, whose fur is striped and brown. I ignore this, because my dogs always bark at monkeys and such, so I think the dog is just wandering around, as many of the dogs in the neighborhood do.
Then, a few days after that, my maid tells me that there's a dog outside our fence, so I think "is that the same dog?" and we go and check and sure enough, it's the very same one. BUT, upon closer inspection, we find that this dog (it's a girl) is SKINNY, and I mean "ribcage-pokes-out-you-can-see-it's-skeletal-structure" skinny. It didn't run away or anything, it just sat there as if it wasn't scared, so we went around the fence and left food and water for it. The next day? The food was gone, and the dog was polishing the remains off the bowl. We (me and my parents) decide to let the poor thing in. At first, it's really shy, when I led her in with food, we was cautious and any sudden movement I made caused her to bolt for the jungle again. But after she ate a large bowl of dog biscuits, she was following me and jumping about as if I owned her the whole time.
She gets along fine with my other 5 dogs (like best friends) and even today she jumps about and runs back and forth happily wagging her tiny tail. I checked with some breeders and she's a Boxer. She has a dog tag and my parents are thinking of bringing her back to her owner (we got the address), but she feels so at home now I feel that giving her back would make her upset.
Anyway, here are some pictures I took the day we rescued her (tagged for size):

I called her Lucky- not for a cliché thing, but I actually had a dream where I called her Lucky and she responded so there.
Don't they eat dogs in your place?

True that.
Internet's slow, so re-uploading is slow.
You could see it if you had a bigger screen, or maybe zoomed out.
I'm sorry but I read the title as "I'm fondling a dog"
I realize many posts in threads are posts like these, but I thought it had to be said.
That's really nice of you.
Wait you have a maid?
Dude, which part of Malaysia, I lived in the Mont Kiara township for a couple years.

Yeah, they're called (This isn't how they're spelled, this is how it's pronounced) Ahmas or something that sounds similar, they actually live in your house.
Dogs > Cats
When you said up close shots you really meant UP CLOSE SHOTS damn

pardon me but are you rich ?
Woah, woah, wait just a minute here.
You regularly have monkeys in your back yard? That is so cool.
I have a dog named lucky.

Not really, sure the first time they might be fun to be around, but they bite, smell, scratch, and try to generally steal anything you have outside.

I wouldn't call myself rich, why. The American dollar goes REALLY far in Malaysia, even though Malaysia is a quite industrialized nation (depends where you are, of course.)
I'd love to compliment you on your dog but I'm currently forcefully zoomed 200x into his butthole.
at first glance i thought the title said "So, I'm frosting a dog" and thought "good god what does that euphemism mean"

Yes, but that's what makes monkeys so cool. Not only are they cute little buggers, they're mischievous. Their devil-may-care attitude is relentlessly charming. I would let a monkey steal my fruit cocktail any time.
TO FUCKING BIG /caps

I was generally pissed at them because they (along with the damn squirrels) kept stealing the bananas from the trees in our backyard :argh:

D'ooh, those mischievous little ragamuffins. When will they learn that those bananas are for people?

They do come back and bother you again though.

I have plenty of fruit cocktails to go around.
Plenty.

Whoops, the first fifteen seconds of that video make me look like a racist. I promise you, I was talking about actual monkeys, not the slur for black people popularized by inbred Southern men.

In Singapore (that little island south of Malaysia), certain areas are forests/nature reserves where there are houses built near it. The signs specifically state "Don't feed the monkeys." Why? They will come back for more, and they are very aggressive. And according to my friends, these buggers pester them a lot. They may look cute, but only when you settle down and meet them regularly do you realise they are not as cute as they seem to be.

It's not a matter of preference.
Dogs are valid contributing members of society.
They assist the disabled, they help law enforcement, and they can be made to do work.
Cats? Not so much.

I prefer dogs, but in EVERY fucking thread, EVERY SINGLE ONE that's about dogs or a dog, some asswipe has to come in and tell everyone how much better cats are than dogs. And this happens in facepunch especially, because (approximately) half of facepunch users are reclusive nerds who grew up attached to Pokemon (still are) and their cats. They fooled themselves into thinking cats were their only friends, when in reality, the cats didn't give a shit about them, and the only reason they stick around is because they get fed.
I'm sick of this argument. Yes, I like dogs, but some people like cats, and that's fine with me if the cat lovers just shut the fuck up about it and don't bring their shit into every thread that has nothing to do with cats.
Hey, I agree with you but Pokemon can still be fun. :colbert:
