News from my town:
PUEBLO WEST, Colo. - A woman accused of shooting at an off-duty Pueblo police officer and then running away died from a single gunshot wound to her head, consistent with suicide, according to the Pueblo County Coroner.
http://www.krdo.com/news/deputies-searching-for-possible-armed-suspect/27947648 If you watch the video and read the article this is about what I'm getting out of it A city police officer follows somebody home in an unmarked car (civilian, not undercover) while off-duty outside of their jurisdiction, is shot at, (most likely because they're being creepy and following somebody to their home in an unmarked car, at 10pm) a manhunt is issued and a very ill woman supposedly (I say supposedly because she was found dead in someone else's house in a trunk. Kind of doubting she killed herself) kills herself the morning she learns there's a manhunt out for her. The officer is not reprimanded for their actions, and Sheriff Kirk Taylor (Relative) encourages what she did. Directly from his mouth from the News 13 review: "There's a public safety risk she not only can but she has a duty to try to apprehend that individual if it's a public safety risk", and stated that she was correct in doing what she did despite being outside of her jurisdiction, OFF DUTY, and in an unmarked car. If she were caught and arrested after those accusations she would probably face 20+ years in prison for something that was likely a mistake or entirely fabricated [img_thumb]http://i.huffpost.com/gen/1649894/thumbs/o-AMERICAN-FLAG-facebook.jpg[/img_thumb]
off duty for a police officer doesn't mean you say "not my problem" and walk away. as a police officer, even if you're "off duty" you're still obligated to do your job.
is shot at, (most likely because they're being creepy and following somebody to their home in an unmarked car [please note that women in society today are encouraged to neutralize potential threats such as this])
so women are allowed to fire shots at people because "they're encouraged to neutralize potential threats"??? honestly, what's wrong with you?

The story doesn't make any sense at all. And the cop's account of events is all that we have.
is shot at, (most likely because they're being creepy and following somebody to their home in an unmarked car [please note that women in society today are encouraged to neutralize potential threats such as this])
Yes lets just shoot at cops in uniform for following you, that's justifiable.
Yes lets just shoot at cops in uniform for following you, that's justifiable.
Ok I snipped that part so you can focus on how absurd the rest of the story is now, you should read the article :)
I don't see the part where it says she was out of Jurisdiction.
I don't see the part where it says she was out of Jurisdiction.
video
video
The video states she was off-duty and out of her jurisdiction, but it doesn't say how, nor does the article state it at all. An off-duty officer still has the power to pull over a person if suspected of committing a crime, in this case driving under the influence of alcohol. But it is pretty weird how she ended up in the trunk of a car with a bullet wound to the head.
Ok I snipped that part so you can focus on how absurd the rest of the story is now, you should read the article :)
It really isn't absurd if you aren't a pessimist, though. A woman drunk enough to get in her car and drive home when she pleaded guilty to a DUI before is drunk enough to pull a gun and fire on an officer following her home. The trunk thing will be investigated further as all shootings do, but considering we don't know anything it's far far far too early to say "YEP THE COP DID IT. FOLLOWED HER RIGHT HOME AND SHOT HER IN THE HEAD SHE DID." The police aren't all out to murder you and lie about it the next second.
I am going to somehow find a way to blame Obama for this
Ignoring your paragraph of anti-police bullshit, if she felt threatened by a car following her why did she think shooting at the occupant of the vehicle would resolve the problem? It seems like another case of the failed mental health system in America.
I don't believe the cop's account of events in the first place. The story doesn't make any sense at all. And the cop's account of events is all that we have.
The solution to not believing the cop's account of the events is not to pull a Vaati and just make up a bunch of speculation. We will have to wait until the autopsy is done to get a better idea of what happened. I don't understand why someone would shoot themselves in the trunk of a car, but nor do I understand why a cop would shoot someone then hide their body rather than just making up a story where the shooting was justified as their account of the story will probably be the only one there is.
Perfumly is the next yawmen
Perfumly is the next yawmen
Eh, more like the next max with what he snipped.
