Comet ISON, the sungrazing comet which grabbed the attention of millions when it was discovered in September 2012, reached the end of its five million-year long journey towards the sun today. Unfortunately, for all parties involved, the Comet did not make it around the sun in one piece. Damn it all. I had a connection to a telescope and everything.
Welp, time to wait until Halley's comet shows up in 2061, and I'll probably be dead by then. I've never seen a comet with my own eyes (if you don't count Hale-Bopp that showed up when I was one year old). Life sucks.
Imagine that that comet was there when your grandpa was born!
thanks for getting my hopes up
I'm so sorry! :( It's because it SAID it was from like 30 mins ago. and it had the title "Comet Ison: Still Alive" and I read it and it said it has survived and blah blah blah but I guess it was talking about since yesterday. Then I looked and it wasn't from 30 mins ago and it got my hopes up too. I feel bad now :(
