All day tomorrow, some people are gonna be quiet the whole day in support of gay people or something. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_of_Silence "The event takes place at college, high school, and middle school campuses. In some cases there are elementary school participants. On the appointed day, students maintain verbal silence either for the entire day or a portion of the day, such as during the lunch break. During their period of silence, participating students may hand out printed cards explaining the nature of their protest. This may be supplemented by additional texts or images. Some school organizers also create or purchase pins or stickers to put on lockers and t-shirts. Others dress in all black, with rainbow ribbons or gags to emphasize the cause and their presence. Also if allowed, special announcements during the day allow the event to be recognized by the school. Ideally, the silence ends with a "breaking the silence" event in which students participate in activism and education." - Wikipedia I really don't give two shits about the whole gay thing. Doesn't matter if you are or you're not. Whatever floats your boat I guess. But tomorrow is gonna be fucking awesome for fucking with the silent kids. Who's actually being silent tomorrow? I know I'm not.
gay people lol
I'm on Spring Break
Same here, I have a joke about why they are silent, but I will be flamed for saying it. But here is a picture to demonstrate... :a2m:
Dressing up as Gordon Freeman tomorrow.
I thought Day of Silence was for abortion. I've had to put up with this day for three years. One of them being a group project in VOICE AND DICTION. And all the quiet kids didn't speak. They got F's. We got A's.
I fucking hate this day because of my shyness. Fools gonna think I'm gay.:Dawkins102:
This holiday is endorsed by Gordon Freeman.
This thread is endorsed by the Gay Pride forum... Which I am not a part of :haw:
Show your support for people who can't talk, dress up as Gordon Freeman and see how it's like to be the silent protagonist of Valve's hit game Half-Life. Be sure to bring crowbars.
I'll be silent. No I'm not gay, but out of respect. I'm not like a ton of other people who hate gays for no reason Whatever they're happy with I'm fine with as long as it doesn't interfere negatively with me.
We tried finding Gordon Freeman's voice actor to ask his opinion on this holiday but sadly he could not found.

I don't care if you're gay. In fact, I support gay marriage on the grounds that it really doesn't matter what someone does with their life. It doesn't affect me, so why be bothered by it? But not talking about it doesn't make me care.
Tomorrow is my birthday. So no

Pyro tries to talk but can't. That's a metaphor.
I fucking hate this day because of my shyness. Naturally, the straight kids don't know that the "straight" kids have quotation marks.
What a fucked up "holiday".
Supporting gay people pfft life sucks
If I was a gay community the last thing I would want to do to get more people to accept us is to not speak to anyone for a whole day.
I fucking hate this day because of my shyness. Fools gonna think I'm gay.:Dawkins102:
just sing softly to yourself as you walk into each class, nobody will think you're wierd and they also will think you're straight.
Let me get this straight... If you hang out with gays you're in the closet?
No after centuries of homophobic people that condemned gays, it actually has become sort of a fad that being gay is cool. That's how the poser system works.
