Awesome
She said heavy metal scream. i am offended
Are you allowed to scream while breathing in?
Are you allowed to scream while breathing in?
I don't see why you wouldn't, screaming is part of vocal vibrations so as long as the sound is natural either by breathing in or out, it should be counted.
I got something that comes close to the time... 1:24 - 2.02
Alright, that was kinda impressive and all. But it sounded horrible.
I have the urge to play Serious Sam now.
Somebody need's a glass of water.
James labrie from Dream theater is pretty good too http://www.thecontrapuntist.com/2009/09/05/the-amazing-voice-of-james-labrie/#.T-UTzrVSSWg
they should make a song just with his scream

There's glam/fab metal screams that belong in the 80s and in Power metal, and then there's Metal. It was an honerable attempt imo. [editline]23rd June 2012[/editline]
Are you allowed to scream while breathing in?
I don't think he does. I can easily keep a 30 sec scream going, no effort. It's very easy to be loud as hell without emptying your lungs in a sec. You just have to take a deep breath and find the right pressur (for lack of better word). Then just let go. He's a singer, i imagine he would get way better results than an angry nerd.

Because tons of heavy metal bands screamed like that in the 80s, not just glam and power metal
Are you allowed to scream while breathing in?
Inward singing, man. Rock singers are only rocking you half the time, half the time they're breathing in.

But today it's pretty much isolated to Power metal or 80s bands. and even among the 80s bands, some are way WAY above the rest. Dickinson could keep going for a full month without drawing breath.

Most of them are pretty mediocre.

New Wave of Tahiti Heavy Metal? Sure you don't mean Nwobhm or Nwoahm? [editline]23rd June 2012[/editline]
Ah ok, your post made it sound like that scream isn't "metal" or some weird bullshit nevermind :v: Yeah I just noticed that, most new bands don't scream like that besides maybe NWOTHM and even then those are guys trying to copy the 80s
But yeah. Modern, or post 95 metal tends to use deeper vocals (i don't mean growling). Some of the deep metal screams are fucking insane! Marco Hietala is spinechilling, even though he almost never does them.

Honest attempt but it just came out bad, sadly.
But yeah. Modern, or post 95 metal tends to use deeper vocals (i don't mean growling). Walk off the earth? These guys were the ones who did that rad cover of "Somebody I used to know" right

(Never heard of Steel Horse before thanks scorpinat going to check them out)
Honest attempt but it just came out bad, sadly. Though I bought the NWOBHM Encyclopaedia so I can easily find those rare gems without searching google for hours :v: I'm gonna eventually start collecting tons of NWOBHM records
