Easily one of the greatest living writer/directors of our time, and with only five major motion pictures!. This thread is really a recommendation of sorts, if you haven't seen any of PTA's films then you're missing out on pure cinematic bliss. The best film of the decade or any for that matter. Disregard any drinking of milkshakes. I've only seen There Will Be Blood and Punch Drunk Love, I loved both of them.
There Will Be Blood is definitely the film of the decade, it's a classic. Also Punch Drunk Love is Adam Sandler's best film.

There Will Be Blood seemed extremely pretentious and just plain boring. Punch Drunk Love and Boogie Nights were entertaining though.
