So basically, I'm 185 cm and 91 kg (6.1 and 202 lbs), as of Feb 24. I had gym membership since summer of 2013, that was when I decided to start losing weight. I started at 220 lbs, then went to 187 (in December) by doing basically lazy cardio, then exams and life in general happened, I started to eat junk food again so here I am at 202. Basically, I want to get to at least 170 and preferably faster than the last time, but I need some kind of a program. I'd hire a trainer but money is an issue right now so yeah Also any tips on eating less? Or that is an endurance thing, because I just had dinner, I'm full but I want fucking more for some reason. I'm starting to think that my stomach is larger than average
It's mostly a willpower thing and ignoring hunger pangs. One thing that might be of help to you though is remembering that calories coming from protein and fat are much better for satiety than calories coming from carbs, however you will still feel hungry from times to times and want to eat everything when you shouldn't. We all go through this, I went through this losing weight from 275 lbs to 170 and I still do now when I go on cuts. With that being said, just follow something like 5x5 Stronglift, it's recommended very often because it's simple and effective and has all the compound movements you might want. Strictly losing weight though, I've heard that P90x is good but I don't have any experience with that whatsoever so take that with a grain of salt.
Isn't 77kg(170lbs) at 185cm a bit low ? I am 180cm and with 76kg I still look thin, I actually try to go up to 80kg.

Asking questions is a good idea though too, so starting a thread or joining one = Great idea. I ask my supervisors and other superiors at work tons of questions regarding anything weightloss related, and I always feel like I learn something new or at least get some helpful insight. Anyways, eating less? I think while cutting, keeping track of what you're stuffing in your face is the best thing you could do - Again, this is my opinion. A lot of people don't want to take the time to figure out if they ate this much of that or this much of something else for their meals. I use MFP to track everything I eat, and use a little kitchen scale to weigh everything out too. Bottom line, just be accountable first. You could even use this thread as a personal blog of sorts? Some people do that. Heig's right with feeling hungry - It's just something you need to deal with. What I do? I keep myself busy. With winter, if i'm hungry... Well, i'll go shovel snow or pick ice off the driveway for a bit so I get to do something with myself, and then i'll worry about eating afterwards if I still remember/feel like I need it. Also, water. Lots of it. I drink water very often and use that as a test to see if i'm really actually hungry. Can't really help you in the gym department, though. :(

Diets and starving yourself will only screw with your metabolism and set you up for some frenzied binge eating. How much you eat doesn't matter as much as what you eat. Regular cardio and exercise is good for burning fat but if you really want to lose the weight and avoid the bounce back you have to make a lifestyle change in regards to the types of food you eat. That doesn't mean you have to eat steamed broccoli for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Find healthy foods that you like and eat more of those. If you have a high calorie diet it might be hard to ween yourself off of it because your body will still expect those calories. Start by gradually dialing it back, replace snacks with healthy alternatives that you still enjoy. Some additional tips: Cut yourself off from sodas entirely. Drink a glass or two of water before a meal. This helps fill you up. By the time your body feels full, you've probably overeaten already. In fact...drinks LOTS of water. If you're not a big fan of plain ole' water, try some water flavor "enhancers" like Mio/Mio Fit/Energy, Aquafina, Dasani (my personal favorite) and others. They have generic zero calorie flavors for everything, including Gatorade like drinks and even ones that taste like sodas like Orange Crush. They taste best served with ice. For easy food on the go or at home, get either canned tuna or tuna packets. Tuna is great, non-offensive taste, high in protein, low in calories and high in dietary fiber which will clean your system out. They've got pre-made tuna packets that come in different flavors as well, sun-dried tomato/roasted basil and other stuff like that. Turkey in ground meat, luncheon and other forms is also a lot better for you than cow/pig. You should cut yourself off at 7pm tops for eating and get a good amount of sleep. If you're up all night, watching movies, playing video games and arguing with people on internet forums this also messes with your metabolism. If you must though, drink water and only snack on healthy stuff like maybe baby carrots or something. Instead of shopping in the frozen food aisle, try to do more of you shopping in the produce aisle. Try to plan your meals for the week or month ahead and avoid fast food as much as possible. To be honest though, at 6ft. tall and 200-ish lbs. you're not bad off. I don't know what sort of body type you have but weight training/toning might be more beneficial for you than cardio.
Thanks for the tips, everyone!
Isn't 77kg(170lbs) at 185cm a bit low?
I don't know, but I don't like the way I look right now, especially my face
Cut yourself off from sodas entirely.
This will probably be the hardest. I can live solely on "healthy" foods like tuna, steamed meat, salads, etc but I need something other than water to drink. (I usually drink ice teas, they have less sugar than sodas but no way they're healthy). Not much variety of the zero-calorie drinks here, not cheap either. Also I have no idea how to avoid fast food when I'm at uni (9am til 2pm every day), since there's no alternative
It is, I'm 6' and went all the way down to 170 and I looked like an auschwitz survivor, my mom was concerned that I was losing too much weight.
This probably means I either have light bones or something, since I'm 6ft (almost 1) and weigh 74kg :v: Still got fat on my thighs, loadsothat. Face is still bleh, but that's my face, that's not going to change easily anyway. Should muscle up though.
This will probably be the hardest. I can live solely on "healthy" foods like tuna, steamed meat, salads, etc but I need something other than water to drink. I suppose those are fine. Protip for energy drinks: Don't pound them. If you drink one quickly, you'll crash quickly. Instead, drink it slowly. Zero calorie drink variants are okay but I would attempt to avoid the straight sodas, even the diet sodas if possible. As far as uni goes, it sounds like you can eat breakfast at home and bring lunch with you. If there's absolutely no way you can bring lunch, at least try to sneak a healthy snack or two into your bag and if you have to eat at a food court, then order the healthiest stuff you can. Many places now have healthy options. Just beware that even their healthy offerings can be high in calories.
Coming from a bulker/current fatass, I really don't enjoy pigging out. If I was to just eat as I normally would and not bulking I can't see how you would eat more than 2500 cals in a day.
Yey, first day at the gym after a long pause. I burned 250 calories, according to the machines, no idea if that's good or bad lol Drink is still an issue (not for the gym, just something to drink during the day), powerade has too much sugar I think
You can always go for these powerades that are like 30 calories I think? Or whatever, I know there's a gatorage or powerade that's extremely low calories or none at all.
If I can ever find it, that is

I guess there is milk, but it's a bit inconvenient to stay hydrated with milk. You could give protein shakes with water a shot, or try drinking some tea. Try to make some meals for uni such as sandwiches or tuna and salads ect.
I'm a huge fan of plain old seltzer water. No calories, super cheap, and is incredibly refreshing, especially if you keep some fresh lemon or lime around. [editline]28th February 2014[/editline] I used to be a fan of tonic water but it's literally just 120 calories of sugar so I wouldn't recommend that. I still like to keep it around for the gin, though.
A week later, I'm 196 pounds. *excitement* Edit: 189
