Three people fainted and one person had a seizure after watching a horrific arm amputation scene in Oscar winner Danny Boyle's latest film.
Others fled from their seats unable to watch as actor James Franco cuts off his own arm with a penknife in the film 127 Hours.
The film tells the true story of climber Aron Ralston whose arm became trapped by a boulder in a canyon in Utah.
Fearing he would die alone after being trapped for five days he used a penknife to cut off his right arm.
The 34-year-old was able to make his way out of the canyon where he bumped into other hikers who alerted rescue authorities.
Ralson wrote a book about the 2003 incident called memoir Between a Rock and a Hard Place and has since become a motivational speaker.
The film 127 Hours is based on his account of his ordeal.

It's just a film, they surly know that it is fake. Right?
snuff films. heh.
Its the fact this actually happened to someone that makes them feel that way.

Apparently its because they use the most realistic gore in a movie yet
Poor guy...
I remember seeing this guy interviewed on the news after it happened, he even took them back to where he was trapped and you could see the dark stain on the canyon wall from his blood.
I thought they watched the film for 127 hours.
I've heard of stories like this, but those instances the person had to eat there arm off
Admission probably cost an arm and a leg.
You can see the beginning other this particular scene in the trailer

Good fucking god apparently nobody knows what a snuff film is on here.
Gore porn =/= snuff film.
Anyway, I'm going to see this for Danny Boyle and James Franco.

I never alluded to gore porn at all.
I said that if the "actor" indeed cut his arm of for real and it was filmed then it would be a snuff flim.
to be honest this movie looks pretty good

It's knowing that it actually happened that gets to some people. People get more emotional if they watch a movie based on something that actually happened.

Probably this too.
Wait it's already out?
The static bursts in the trailer made me think my speakers were dying.
What static bursts?
Just hearing the guy explain his story amputating his own arm nearly made me puke. What a horrible experience.
I'd love to do that pool drop! Trailer was brilliant and caught my interest throughout.
I'm not sure I could watch that. I'm acclimated to B-grade, buckets-o-blood horror movie gore, but something that detailed and focused might overdo it for me.
Now i have to find out what's so bad about.
Thanks once again internet..
sounds rad

This is like the third time I used this video to relate to a news article.
