Reminds me of when I tried to use Tumblr. No notes, only two followers were the people who asked me to join. Decided to see how to get more views and whatnot, and saw that the path was to constantly subscribe to everything, and then reblog everything.
I was wondering when this guy would do one for Tumblr.

Oh my God. This is stunningly accurate. I have never, ever seen Tumblr so concisely and precisely summed up for the shithole it is.
Honestly, everyone calls Tumblr a shithole, but have probably never even visited the site. It's only as bad as you make it and if someone you usually likes posts something dumb, just block that post. Or get Tumblr Savior.
People really exaggerate everything about the site, particularly the SO DONE WITH THIS SITE stuff.

Probably because it's not even really a thing. The video is pretty much right about fame on tumblr being pretty throw away, but if you don't shoot to be really popular (like me who just reblogs things for friends to look at) then the occasional spike is pretty satisfactory.

"Relevant" was a term that was tossed around for awhile.
Anyone i've known to be on par or above me who has lost their moment in the spotlight was also someone with a horrible personality and ego.
Unfortunately it starts turning into a higher "ring" of circlejerking and drama anyway, it's stupid.

I've been on the site for about three years now and have seen literally everything in that video. I'm guilty of contributing to some of the things in it as well. Nowadays I do my best to stay away from all the crap in my quiet little space but every once in a while a turd will wade over into your corner of the pool.

The whole taking stands on issues without having any knowledge or even caring enough to fact check happens like all the fucking time. A lot of it comes across as wanting to make yourself look good rather than trying to inform others.
