This is pretty damn awesome
that was some amazing attention to detail
That was pretty cool! There were a few little things that bugged me though. Also, I could swear I've seen some WIP art from this project before.
Holy crap he finally finished this. Otaking has been working on this for years.
That was pretty cool! There were a few little things that bugged me though. Also, I could swear I've seen some WIP art from this project before.
hes been posting WIPs of it on the /m/echa board, a friend showed them to me a while ago.
That was pretty cool! There were a few little things that bugged me though. I now want a Starwars anime.
If this is the last filk I ever see, I don't think it would be a bad thing.
I now want a Starwars anime.
This just made me want to see, because I love irony, Mechwarrior/Battletech done in this style since this the style used in Macross which is owned by Harmony Gold(in the US) who prevented the Warhammer and Marauder from being seen in the Battletech Universe. [editline]24th March 2015[/editline] Also the Machineporn in the Battletech one would be even bigger than it was in this one.
Oh wow, this is amazing! I'd watch a full length Star Wars movie like this
I really like the references to the old Star Wars Flight Sims, I had flash backs when the "Missile Lock" sound played.
Okay, I will admit: Although I am not overtly fond of anime, if there was a series that was like this I would watch the shit out of it.
I can really appreciate the effort that was put into this but for some reason I just can't bring myself to really enjoy watching it.
Goddamn rebels got shrekt, jesus christ.
Part of this gave me a pretty strong Cowboy Bebop vibe
I loved the short wip that got posted a while ago but I didn't enjoy this one as much somehow. I definitely think the sounds are done better in this one and that rock music just does NOT fit.
the art was good, but the actual animation of it all seemed really jarring at parts, mostly just the way the ships would move in relation to the camera and things like that
Here is a PDF on the video http://www.mediafire.com/view/cpnc1oj27dkosc4/Tie%20Fighter_project%20materials.pdf this si neat a BTS file [editline]25th March 2015[/editline]
I loved the short wip that got posted a while ago but I didn't enjoy this one as much somehow. The whole thing is rotoscoped, hence the fluidity and seeming 3D-ness of the ships.
Reminds me of Heavy Metal, I fucking love that movie.
Not enough TIE fighter deaths 0/10
More satisfying then all three prequels put together in only a 7 minute runtime.
Imperial propaganda really took it up a notch
i mean at the end of the day, corrupt or not the empire still has to protect and serve and the rebels DID kill like probably a few million people with both death stars and then some [editline]24th March 2015[/editline] it made me root for the empire, but also did anyone else think that the tie-fighter backwards woosh was a bit overdone i mean at times it was like "ERRRRROUUGH"
reminds me of mech/spaceship animes like gundam i'd definitely watch this if it were a thing.
That animation is fantastic, reminds me alot of 'classic' anime like Macross, Daft Punk's Discovery shorts, etc.
This is pretty fantastic, although I'm not a fan of the music or the transparent-helmets thingy. More star wars stuff needs to feature Interdictors, I love their design.
There were a few weird bits with the ships moving and some of the people looked a bit wonky but you can forgive it considering it was done by a single guy in his spare time. Lets hope the new star wars film has some space battles.
That was tight
The whole thing is rotoscoped, hence the fluidity and seeming 3D-ness of the ships.
IIRC the scenes with the ships are fully 3d renders its only the scenes like the zoom in of the destroyer and the internal scenes that were drawn.
