(for those who didn't knew, Sushi is a japanese word so it can't have a S at the end. It is ''sushi'' for bot Singular and plurial) What IS a sushi?
cooked vinegared rice that is commonly topped with other ingredients, such as fish or other seafood, or put into rolls.
Sushi is a really common food in japan, it's almost a kind of ''fast food'', without fat. The question still being, why are they awesome? For multiple reasons, such as : 1) It's fucking healthy, contains Omega-3 in mass and a lot of vegetable to make you tall and badass. 2) It tastes awesome : With some spices such as Wasabi¹ or Soy sauce, it has been said one of the most tastiest food in the world, and for a reason. 3) Even if it can cost a lot to buy from shops, sushi are easy to make and costs almost nothing if you know what to buy. Still not convinced? Take a look at these pictures. Nigiri Sushi : Hosomaki : And some Huge big badass Sumomaki : Yeah yeah, sushi are good but what do you take with them? Wasabi : As i said before, wasabi is a japanese spice that mix well with Sushi, but be careful, this little fucker pack a punch. (It's the green paste, second pic) Ginger : Ginger is not really a spice, but it's used between sushi to clean your mouth of the taste and getting ready for another one! Saké : Saké is an alcool made of rice that is commonly used in Sushi shops. It's 15 to 18% of alcool and have a light taste that mix really well with sushi! Soy sauce : Nothing to say but that it gives the Sushi salt, making it tastier. So nao go get some and give your tongue something to fap on! Edit : Sorry for you grammar Nazi, i'm not english.
Something is fishy about this.
fuck you man i want some sushi now
Sushi is fantastic, I really need to go to a Japanese restaurant sometime in London. Tesco sushi is still good, though.
fuck you man i want some sushi now
I just ate a whole box. So i was like ''Why not make a Thread about it''
Sushi is disgusting imo
I love sushi, I go to Japanese buffets for it.
I can't stand the texture of fish.
I dreamed I got kicked out of Japan for drinking all the Saké
Those touchscreen conveyor belt order sushi places are awesome albeit a bit clunky
Those touchscreen conveyor belt order sushi places are awesome albeit a bit clunky
I've been to one of these in Singapore, sans the touchscreen, however. It was awesome.
What's with all the food threads at the moment? Anyway, if it was easier to get a vegetarian version of sushi I'd try it.
Shouldn't it be "Sushi is" and not "Sushi are"?
I love sushi, they're pretty easy to make as well. It's pretty ironic that I have a plate of sushi sitting in-front of me right now, which I made about a hour ago or so.
Isn't it raw-fish? How the shit could it have a flavor, sounds gross.
What's with all the food threads at the moment? Anyway, if it was easier to get a vegetarian version of sushi I'd try it.
uhh sushi is raw seafood so good luck with that.
What's with all the food threads at the moment? Anyway, if it was easier to get a vegetarian version of sushi I'd try it.
I believe it's called california rolls (various variants only use cucumber and avocado and such and skip on the meat) and kappa maki
Isn't it raw-fish? How the shit could it have a flavor, sounds gross.
actually it's more like different texture, there are chewy ones, hard ones, slippery ones, or plain rubbery textured fish.
Isn't it raw-fish? How the shit could it have a flavor, sounds gross.
There's soy sauce for a reason. The shashimi is there mainly for the chewyness and texture. They don't taste gross at all if they are in a cool and icy temperature.
My step-mom is Japanese. So we eat this every now and then. I like those little orange egg things with the liquid in them.
actually it's more like different texture, there are chewy ones, hard ones, slippery ones, or plain rubbery textured fish.
So it has no flavor?
Sushi is best way to eat fish. [editline]06:53PM[/editline]
My step-mom is Japanese. So we eat this every now and then. I like those little orange egg things with the liquid in them.
You mean fish eggs?
There's soy sauce for a reason. The shashimi is there mainly for the chewyness and texture. They don't taste gross at all if they are in a cool and icy temperature.
Soy sauce, that is true. I'm curious to try this, but the fact that it is raw-fish concerns me.
Like my ancestors before me, I cook my food.
uhh sushi is raw seafood so good luck with that.
Well, originally it is, true. I have a friend that eats a vegetarian version often though. I just barely ever meet physically with him.
Soy sauce, that is true. I'm curious to try this, but the fact that it is raw-fish concerns me.
yes there is often no flavor, but you can sort of taste the stench that comes off of the fish if it isn't at low temperature.
