Speech jammers are really damn amusing. I'd never be able to pull this off.
Damn, just tried it and it doesn't hinder my speech at all. Toyed with different delays and different volumes, but nothing. It's a shame, looks like fun.

Gotta hit that sweet spot
It also helps to be improvising. Reading something off a paper usually doesn't affect you because you know what you're going to say.

Yeah, I did that. It's probably because I worked on my speech a lot in the past, to form sentences better and to stutter/repeat myself less, so maybe that had to do something with it. Or it may be the nature of my language itself.
this is how i talk normally, well not that bad. im just so worried about fucking up that i second guess a word as im saying it and it normally comes out to be gibberish.
yay.
If anyone talks like this your best hope is to just practice talking, like by...talking to people.
True story.

Yeah exactly. I had a really bad stutter & slur up until about 14, that shit shattered my self-confidence completely when it came to even going out of the house, I had severe anxiety about doing ANYTHING relating to people. Really fucking tough cycle to get out of though, having to pretty much force yourself to talk to people.
I hate when you're having a phone conversation and you hear your own voice being played back to you because the person has you on speaker or there's a problem with the line or something. Same effect as this. I thought I was the only one that was unable to speak/think properly when their voice was being played back with a delay.

is he wrong, though? you have to consider that talking to people at work isn't the same as talking to them in casual situations
I get like this when I'm tired/stressed out. I start stammering and forgetting words. shit sux
I think this is the secret to sounding like Steve Brule.
