Electronic Arts is developing games for the Wii U, but not as many as the company is developing for Sony and Microsoft's consoles, EA's chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen said today during the Stifel Nicolaus 2013 Internet, Media and Communications Conference.
Jorgensen's statement seems to contradict a statement last week from EA spokesman Jeff Brown, who said last week that the company has "no games in development for the Wii U currently."
Yep, I knew they were going to backpedal eventually.
as people were saying on Game FAQ's, they must had saw the player reaction to Xbox one.
Well some games is better than no games.
Well that was certainly a record setter.
Hopefully they don't break the bike, it's not meant to backpedal this hard.
they came back because they saw the xbox one
Hey we have the same last name!
As expected. They'll always go where the money is.
I remember how they were praising the Xbox One before we 'knew' about it.
Piss off, EA. We don't need you.
I hope we get generic sports games

Oh don't worry, that's the only thing you would be getting from EA on the WiiU.

I'm excited for the intrusive drm and especially the day one dlc packs.
It's completly retarded to abandon one section of the market because because. Good to see them back regardless of their questionable practices.
I'm not going to go "Yeah they saw what a load of crap Xbox One is, now they crawl back!!!", maybe they have different reasons (contract obligations with the FIFA for example)...
But please EA, please choose some better fucking times to announce such things, or think twice with what bullshit you leak out.

There's a lot of reasons EA doesn't want to work with the WiiU.
The biggest reason is the poor console sales. If nobody owns the WiiU, then nobody will buy the games they make for it.
Another reason is that apparently it is more difficult to develop games for the WiiU than other consoles.
The time, work, and money trade off isn't worth it for larger developers.
