"Based on what we've see on Greenlight we would not publish Hatred on Steam. As such we'll be taking it down," Valve's Doug Lombardi told Eurogamer moments ago.
too hot for steam.
So why is Postal still on then ?
So why is Postal still on then ?
Because Postal is awesome?
So why is Postal still on then ?
Because postal portrays itself as a parody and over the top. This tries to push for a less humor based experience.
So why is Postal still on then ?
Why is Bad Rats still on? Shit really? I was looking forward to that game. Hope it can still get distributed somehow. Way for Valve to take action against a game that looked like it was at least having some effort put into it being made. Meanwhile shit like Air Control gets on Steam. Fuck Valve sometimes, seriously.
Edgiest game ever.
HATRED now on ORIGIN
I am glad Valve is taking the time to remove games which some people might find offensive and not the scam games it freely sells.
no wait i came up with a better joke FIND OUT THE... ORIGIN of HATRED .... THIS SPRING.
Because that game very obviously treats itself as a parody and while you're perfectly capable of pulling stuff like this off in that game, you're not outright forced to (and even discouraged occasionally). On top of that the game is plastered in warnings and the like. It's like the opposite of the message this game seems to be trying to send which I'm guessing is why Valve pulled it.
You're talking about Postal 2. Go look up POSTAL.
Valve you dickless assholes
You're talking about Postal 2. Go look up POSTAL.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDemhscUclA The first freaking mission has a joke on the title card.
I will probably get it when it is out, looks like fun.
no wait i came up with a better joke FIND OUT THE... ORIGIN of HATRED .... THIS SPRING.
Worst joke 2014 nominee material right here folks Anyway, valve really needs to stay out of stuff like this. Games are a form of expression and shouldn't be censored
I'm not a fan of companies refusing to sell games on grounds like these. Reminds me of the whole Target thing in Australia with GTA V.
Worst joke 2014 nominee material right here folks
That may have been the point.
So this gets deleted from Greenlight but Gender Bender Anime Weeaboo Hentai Fest III gets greenlit? I'm not a fan of Hatred but Valve's fucking up a lot lately
Put it on gog.com
Because postal portrays itself as a parody and over the top. This tries to push for a less humor based experience.
You didn't play Postal 1 did you ?
Because that game very obviously treats itself as a parody and while you're perfectly capable of pulling stuff like this off in that game, you're not outright forced to (and even discouraged occasionally). On top of that it's plastered in warnings and the like for irresponsible parents. It's like the opposite of the message this game seems to be trying to send which I'm guessing is why Valve pulled it.
Postal 1 is definitely not a parody. In some aspects I'd even consider it edgier than Hatred, with some of the quotes during the loading screen inbetween levels
I will probably get it when it is out, looks like fun.
Meh, personally don't see the appeal of the game even with the controversy. Aside from the executions and some nice looking particle effects it just looks like a mediocre shooter overall.

This game would trigger gamers worldwide to create armories for Sandyhook 9/11 2 so great going on saving us from another tragedy Valve
So, DeviantArt-tier fetish games and blatantly unfinished crap are allowed to be sold on Steam for bullshit prices (For example, that Gender Bender crap costs 25 fucking bucks), but Hatred is the game which gets deemed too extreme for Steam. Valve is really full of shit lately.
I'm pretty sure Postal 1 is only on steam to keep parity with postal 2
Good on valve. Looks like a shit game made by a bunch of neo nazi neck beards
Hatred is sure being hatred
Unless they found out the game was funding Neo-Nazi organisations or something, I don't really get why they pulled this. Yes, it's tasteless and nasty, but some people like playing tasteless and nasty shit. It would be interesting to see this become the Cannibal Holocaust of videogames.
