Hey guys I was hoping I could get some help with recording a certain game with Dxtory, but the problem also arises when recording with Fraps.

If it is just a problem with the game, what would be the best way to crop out the large black area? Can it be done in Dxtory or Fraps settings? Or is there a program in post that is relatively easy to use?
Well it might happen because you've set a custom size under scaling. You can easily crop stuff in [URL="http://avidemux.sourceforge.net/"]avidemux[/URL].
It would also be better if you posted these kind of questions in the Hardware and Software section of this site, especially in threads like [URL="http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1250112"]these[/URL].
Ah, good point, I was wondering what section to pick but that seems most appropriate. I'll just let this thread die peacefully.
You could always try out the open source program [url=https://obsproject.com/]OBS[/url]
It generally works better than any other solution I've tried, and you can modify the placement of the window etc.
