Cookie Monster Used By Far Right As Symbol In Germany, Say Police
German police are probing an unlikely new symbol for neo-Nazi extremists - the Cookie Monster from Sesame Street.
The trend was first noticed when far-right activist Steffen Lange was arrested in March for walking into a school in the German state of Brandenburg, dressed in full cookie monster regalia, and handing out neo-Nazi pamphlets to children, along with an accomplice.
After teacher complaints, police came to arrest the men, who are in their thirties, and a search of their home computers revealed more Cookie Monster-themed leaflets and neo-Nazi material, according to Germany's Focus newspaper.
But police have warned the symbols are continuing to be used by the far-right in Brandenburg to recruit children.
Internet images show the cookie monster standing side-by-side with Adolf Hitler, with the caption "Who ate my cookie?"
It is not the first children's cartoon to be co-opted by the far-right.
In November, Neo-Nazis Uwe Mundlos and Uwe Boenhardt, part of a right wing terrorist group called the National Socialist Underground, produced a DVD featuring the Pink Panther. It claimed responsibility for the murders of several Turkish small-business owners in Germany between 2000 and 2006.
German police are now probing whether hundreds of unsolved killings and attempted killings over the past 20 years were committed by neo-Nazis.
The cookie monster represents the weaker nations of the EU. They take their cookies and instantly eat it rather than trade the cookies for flour to make more cookies.
Its a profound intellectual failure that nazism still exists.

It's an ideology that spreads through anger and ignorance.
Angry people don't think rationally. The extreme right channels their anger towards easy targets such as foreigners and makes them believe that they are responsible for their problems. This way they gather a large amount of support.
The worse a country is doing, the more support there will be for extreme right parties. So the only real way to get rid of them is to have no problems whatsover, which is unrealistic.

Which is also why shit like Golden Dawn is springing up like mold on a Polish hooker's cunt in the post-2008 world.

This applies to pretty much any extremist view of any category. Extreme right, extreme left, religious extremism, you name it.

I can believe it.

Generally speaking conservatism and extremism gain ground during a recession but during an upswing they lose support.
It just has to do with the general mood of society.
Once when our prime minister was accused of calling the opposition leader "a monster", he avoided court by saing that he meant the Cookie Monster.
It was a political tool all along.
Talking about immigrants, I know lots of immigrants that cause problems, for example sell drugs, steal, beat other and shit like that.
Contradictory, I know also lots of non-immigrants that do the same.

On the topic of immigrants and integration I like to quote a German cabaret artist, Volker Pispers:
20% of the people in Germany who live here, work here, pay their taxes and keep the social services running are immigrants. Without these people the whole system would collapse. Instead of being thankful, each day, that they came to our country and listen to the furious and ridiculous insults we pour over them, even if they could just say "You know what? We're done here. We're leaving, so the Germans have to deal with their own shit." instead of being thankful... we criticise them for not integrating enough. Who is supposed to define that? The only thing that I care about is that the people who live here follow the laws, to me that's enough integration.
I'm sorry, but what do I care for if somebody is wearing a headscarf? Religion is always weird. There are catholic academics who honestly believe that you can cure homosexuality with homeopathy. The most immigrants contribute to our country, and we should be thankful for having them here. Yes, a small part of the immigrants is causing problems, that's totally correct. And it's alright to say that. That's no taboo. Even the immigrants admit that.
However, I'd like to also say that a not so small part of the non-immigrants is also causing problems in this country. Culture makes no difference. You have criminals who believe in God and criminals who believe in Allah. And you can't blame neither God or Allah for that. Or do you honestly think that we're still able to integrate those neonazi skinheads into our society? See, that's where you would be grateful if they wore headscarves.
But apparently the German is obsessed with honor killing. Honor killings... What do you want to do against that? Prohibit it? Is it possible that killing somebody is already illegal in Germany? People constantly get killed in Germany, especially from members of their own family. Even in German family murders happen, divorced fathers who can't bear the thought that the family exists without them, in the end maybe even with a new father. Just read the news, "He kills his ex", "He kills his ex and his kids" or "He kills his kids and himself". Do you call that honor killing? No, that's typical German behaviour.
This reminds me of the time Bert was represented alongside Bin Laden. Yeah, that was a long time ago.
