The trailer doesn't do the game any justice, but at least we know plot details now.

I haven't kept up with any statements made by the team but I sort always expected them to ditch Clem for season 2. Everyone wants to know how it continues but there's so much pressure there that it would likely never live up to expectations no matter how good it is, so it makes sense to go a different route.

it says "many months have passed", which could mean a number of years. its just a figure of speech really

I don't think they even know the exact date of release themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if they're still working on the finishing touches for the first episode. Seems like every time they would announce the release date of a new episode in Season 1, they'd just be like "Oh yeah, by the way it's out next week."
