i actually did put effort into it, even though it is a abstract piece of art that doesn't make it less of quality.
Yet i also realize i fucked it up completely.
One day i wish to have the skill to actually be able to do what i use to, and better.
This is a piece that i actually did a while ago. it was a attempt showing the pure chaos in contrast to the controlling hand.

stating the obvious here but This does not deserve it's own thread
stating the obvious here but This does not deserve it's own thread
Well since i already made a thread might as well move forward.
Why not? i don't see a thread where people actually state to a artist a Random idea to draw.
"edit, Should i make this the thread of random Topic and draw? that might be cool.
For instance.
Someone says something "random"
The next poster tries to draw it.
Or is that a bad idea?
yes we have, it's calles the "creative work that doesn't deserve it's own thread"

... this thread... your comments... my brain... uh oh god it hurts
Uh, no. that isn't oriented twords that type of interaction.
i have yet to see "make a tricycle falling off a cliff", and then people below it try to make it a reality in a picture.
can you even make that?
can you even make that?
i'm very surprised a Moderator has not locked this thread.
Curious? What would be your reasons moderator?
i am sure you have seen this thread by now.

I made a thread like that, if you look back a week. It's dead and I'm going to update it soon, though.
So boredom suddenly makes you unskilled?

ah thanks for the heads up.

A rule here just encase you didn't know 2010. is provide constructive criticism , or Don't provide Jack shit.

He did. You're unskilled. I can make talentless scribbles on my computer if I want it but I actually take the care and time to actually make something meaningful.
Drop the computer, learn traditional. Plain and simple. There is nothing to critique and it's quite clear you wouldn't be receptive to it anyway.
Nobody said we've got to be polite.
Let's see: your color choice sucks, as does your brushwork, it's all very poor (there's even obvious clipping in the first picture with the "clouds")
My assumption is that you just got a tablet for christmas and have no prior experience with anything art-related, amirite?
[editline]28th December 2010[/editline]
Also, why on earth did you rate yourself dumb?
what is that
ah thanks for the heads up.

You speak the ways of most cryptic and misunderstandable talk I've ever heard.
I know I'm quite fucked up right now, but wow. You're not talking human.

Yah it is so cryptic to say that a rule here is to provide constructive criticism, or not to post at all.
i can see how that would confuse someone.

Okay constructive?
IT's just huge pieces of absolute shit, with no excuse to exist. There's nothing pleasant to look at, there's no tought put into it, no goal, just random brushes and strokes slapped on. Any asthetics that might've remained were raped up the ass and burned to death by those filters.
Get a respectable basis in traditional arts before even thinking about doing digital so you might learn something about composition, colour, perspective and the lot.
find some online tutorials.

Well since i already wasted a thread i might as well refine my art.
This is a benchmark of what i am doing. Does this please you?
ps the hands are very low res, and i can't really see what they look like so thats why my pictures hands look a bit fucked up.
Edit: since this is not fully finished i rather not bump this excuse for a thread up.
you are tracing an image?
I'm rather impressed, and utterly pleased.
brotip, scale up the image instead of tracing it in the same resolution.
And now you just trace things? This is fucking unbelievable.
just stop.
Guys, this is obviously referenced, not traced.
Look at the shape of the head, for example.
Diarrhea won't stop if you take more laxatives, so just stop with the digital allready.
You have no idea about how to paint, how to use brushes or even what artstyle to choose.
Start learning fucking realism using tutorials or something and throw away your digital shit and anime, maybe then small part of potntial in you survives and makes something worthwhile one sunny day.
Only obvious thing here is that it's awful
Hypocritical. Thats all i have to say about you because of what you rated. As well as how you started out. Get out.
Lucky is also right. its not a trace but a reference. For instance i changed the face to make it not so "sad" looking.
i just got back to the computer. This simple line drawing is what i am using to test my skills with before i go to a "realistic" drawing.

Ah but surely it cleans your system out of all the nasty stuff.
You can't be born a natural artist of godly proportions. i realize the mistake in my perception.
Anyways Moving forward.

Something tells me your a friendly person. Thank you for not bashing me , and pointing out something people maybe are missing.
i am only going to edit this thread. To prevent it from being bumped up, unless i have truly made a few good art pieces.
oh my god

A trace or a very obvious reference is basically the same thing in this case, and learning how to draw in the anime style really isn't hard at all, you just got to stop being a lazy faggot and look up a tutorial.

tracing shit and randomly painting, using a worse sense of what looks good and not then a kid at the age of four won't help you improve at all
That drawing your referencing from is really bad. you are better off just using it as inspiration.
You're also skipping any construction lines and going straight into details as a result everything looks wonky and out of proportion.
heres some quick tuts I found that should help you out.
