Last week, a video was released showing George Zimmerman at the Sanford Police Department the night he shot and killed Trayvon Martin. It originally appeared as though the neighborhood watch volunteer showed no signs of the violent confrontation he told police took place between himself and the teen that night, but ABC news has enhanced the video showing signs of injury on Zimmerman's head.
ABC's Matt Gutman said the network re-digitized the video to reveal what appears to be "a pair of gashes or welts" on the back of Zimmerman's head. This discovery is more consistent with Zimmerman's account of what happened the night of Feb. 26. According to a police report first described by the Orlando Sentinel, Zimmerman told investigators that Martin jumped him from behind, punched him in the nose and pounded his head into the sidewalk.
The enhanced video complicates an already complex narrative of what really took place that evening amid shifting public perception of both Zimmerman and Martin.
During an interview on "The Today Show," Craig Sonner, Zimmerman's lawyer, said the video was "too grainy" to show the injuries his client claimed he sustained in his fight with Martin. However, the funeral director who handled the body of the slain teen told Nancy Grace there were no cuts, bruises or signs of a fight on Martin's body.
"I didn't see any evidence he had been fighting anybody," Richard Kurtz of Roy Mizell and Kurtz Funeral Home in Fort Lauderdale told the television talk show host.
Police took Zimmerman into custody after they arrived. He was questioned and released later that night. He remains free as the Seminole County State Attorney's Office reviews the police investigation and decides whether to files charges. The U.S. Justice Department is also investigating.
More than likely self-inflicted.

Based on the following evidence:

He's a villain, doesn't matter if he could possibly be right, people will still hate him.
A few things:
1 The marks aren't there in the video from the first camera
2 how would blunt force trauma inflict that type of injury?
3 enhanced = edited
If it was a black cop, and a white kid. Would you still argue the same points against Zimmerman?
First the voice recognition and now they are zooming and enhancing?

Yes.
First the voice recognition and now they are zooming and enhancing?
Next they'll be flipping and un-cropping to prove that it was all black kids fault.
Why are people so convinced that Zimmerman killed the kid in cold blood when there is barely any evidence to support it?
Must feel bad when you are called a racist killer nationwide.
More than likely self-inflicted.
We just have to take sides, don't we?
I think video "enhancement" is complete crap, thus I'm skeptical
Why are people so convinced that Zimmerman killed the kid in cold blood when there is barely any evidence to support it?
Because the media has played a significant role in creating this image of an evil kid stalker murderer.
It's a shame that people believe it so easily, without any substantial evidence but assumptions that the police/judge/detectives/paramedics/witnesses are racist/bribed/stupid/biased and so forth.
In fact Zimmerman stated that he would turn himself in if he ever gets charged. Doesn't sound like a thing cold blooded murderer would do.
1 The marks aren't there in the video from the first camera
The marks are on the back of his head, he's facing the camera

Breaking the skin, rupturing capillaries, hell it can even tear the skin
3 enhanced = edited
That's some damned good editing then

Could be a ruse to gain public support.
Either way, we can't make any decisions without a court case. The jury will decide, not an average Joe who has not seen the evidence, nor will the media (as much as they will try)

Indeed, we may like to see shapes that we want to see. And even if he does have an actual wound, it would still be logical to be skeptical since it after all is an edited video. Just as I'm skeptical to the supposed evidence that it wasn't Zimmerman screaming for help.
The easiest thing to do would be just to take pictures of his face and head, which hopefully the police, the paramedics or his lawyers did.

You'd think that the paramedics would do so, when it comes to stuff like that.

not everything is a fucking ruse

It's called being skeptical, much more intelligent than believing everyone is an honest and kind person
We just have to take sides, don't we?
Seeing how judges and police are exactly the organs that historically developed to do this so other people don't have to bother, no.
Next they'll be flipping and un-cropping to prove that it was all black kids fault.
Invert the colors. Suddenly the murderer was black and the victim was white!
GEORGE ZIMMERMAN IS REALLY TRAYVON MARTIN IN DISGUISE
It's called being skeptical, much more intelligent than believing everyone is an honest and kind person
Obviously not, but when there is an overwhelming amount of evidence supporting the counter-argument continuing to support the argument is just plain foolish.
And the fact he is injured still doesn't justify killing an unarmed boy, in the vast majority of states, you need to be abso-fucking-lutely certain, that the offender is trying to kill you, and he is armed.
EDIT: And it doesn't help that considering the kid was 17, i very highly doubt he would try to kill zimmerman, it's more likely he was trying to defend himself from a strange man with a gun that tried to arrest him for no reason at all.

I mean at around 0:41 at the same time as they show the picture of him.
I know it would break the skin, I just wouldn't think it would slash the skin.

Concrete can be sharp as fuck, like if he had his head bashed on the edge of the sidewalk, it would cause cuts.
bullshit

Mhm. I'm gonna keep skeptical on this for that reason.

There is absolutely no evidence here that would hold up in court. All we have is the mass speculation of the public and the media
I liked this comment on the article
Please read this line from the movie "The Verdict":
"The admission of a duplicate document (video in this case) in preference to an existing original must presuppose the possibility of alteration and so must be disallowed."
[editline]3rd April 2012[/editline]
also innocent until proven guilty
