Skins (UK Version) - General

I just started watching this show on netflix, my god am I addicted. Its such a great show. The characters are absolutely fantastic, the story is great. Its just a great show overall. What do you guys think about it?

I loved the first generation and still get teary eyed at certain bits like [sp]Sid's series 2 episode, and Tony saying goodbye at the airport[/sp] Second was ok but not great, and I didn't really like the third but watched it all anyway. I didn't like that in the second and third generations, you saw the group become friends. I preferred how in the first generation they were already great friends.

Yeah Series 1 was great, Series 2 was OK and it just went downhill from there.

gotta say i preferred the third generation over the second, first is the clear best though

Fell in love with Gen 1, Gen 2 would be my favourite, found 3 enjoyable but just not the same. Series 7 is back in July for 3 final episodes featuring Cassie, Effy and Cook. Not sure if there's a confirmed date yet.

I only watched a bit of Season 4 and didn't even bother with S5 or S6 but now that some older characters are returning I might give this a watch with high hopes. Shame they can't get more S1/2 cast members back

i really just dont understand why out of any character from gen 1 they chose cassie to return for the finale series. she was definitely my least favorite one, and i would much prefer to see sid or maxxie again

Nothing's ever the same as the first cast you get used to. I liked the first generation, the second not as much - besides Effy, JJ and Naomi I just didn't care about any of the characters. I'm trying to finish series 3 and 4 anyway so I can get to the third generation, I thought they seemed a bit more interesting. Also, I wish they could have made the 7th series longer, I don't know if they'll achieve that much in just 6 episodes.

I am really loving Skins and that fucking theme song is great.

I love Skins Fire so far, Effy was always a really relatable character for me and I'm really glad they didn't change her at all for this final season. I've seen series one and two, after my friend told me I should watch them. She loves Cassie - I think you can relate to her if you've had issues like hers yourself. It's weird, because I live in the town it's set, so I saw places I recognise and sometimes stuff like people teleporting from one side of the town to the other. Also, someone in my college knew the casting person and was getting people in as extras, so theoretically I could have been in it.

Just watched Skins: Fire. FUCK. DUDE.

Series 1+2: good Series 3: OK Series 4: abysmal Stopped watching after that.
