I still haven't played even played one Call of Duty. Are they really as good as everyone says?

I work at gamestop in Michigan, we where one of the few stores releaseing it early. Sold ALOT of copies today, people where going nuts.

Yeah, in the multiplayer vid I saw, a little thing popped up on the screen that said "One Shot Kill!" whenever he one shot killed someone with the bolt action sniper. Is that just to boost people's esteems? Seems rather excessive (like many other details IW has added).
COD hath been mainstreamed, dumbed down for the dominant simpleton class throwing money at it. After this ladies and gentlemen, a good game will be far and few. I hope other developers don't think they should appeal to simply satisfy basic needs to earn a lot, but take risks and do something different.
Wonder if MW2 will be out early in Massachusetts...we are a northeastern state, after all...

Correct. If you buy it at retail, you won't be able to play it til it unlocks on Steam on 13th in NA, or 12th in EU.
