this is one of the grossest things i've ever seen... holy hell
the song is ridiculous
dont even rate this funny this is just pure hell
Their faces when the song happened, oh my lord I'm dying here
He's autistic, I don't think he understands the awkwardness of the situation.
I had heard about this on Howard Stern a while back and it disturbed the hell out of me then; it's even worse actually seeing it.

Very entertaining rant though.
Their questions are so condescending and insensitive "Did you get any flack from any of your friends?" or "Did you get any flack for sitting with that weirdo, cause everybody knows most people are dick heads, who hate people who are different like that kid sitting next to you."

There was nothing wrong with that question in particular. Of course there's no guarantee he'll get flack for it but there's a risk. Social hierarchy is dumb and stupid but it does sadly exist.

On another note, those are some of the worst lyrics to a song I've ever heard.

Oh no he understands it perfectly. These idiots on the TV show don't seem to realise that the kid isn't an idiot, he clearly doesn't want to be there and sit around getting treated like two year old.
That is clearly the Today show and not GMA
Oh my fucking god this is disgusting.
I really love Howard Stern. I used to hate him but he's moved on from smut (mostly) to some pretty entertaining shit, along with funny rants on current events. Maybe I was just too young to care back then but he tells it like it is
This is so fucked up, these women evidently have some sort of superiority complex and get kicks out making people with autism feel really uncomfortable.
"it was a little too sad"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
Wow, massive dicks.

uh dude
did you watch the video
Oh god, I thought it wasn't that bad, but then the song happened and after that the entire crew just took turns stabbing him. I can't stand that condescending "AWWW GRAHAM DO YOU HAVE TEARS IN YOUR EYES? AHAHAHA"
why didnt the kid get a box of stuff :(
I can sort of relate to this, being autistic myself. Back in grade school, all the teachers and principals used to treat me special and I never liked it at all. Looking back at it, it felt really condescending and made me uncomfortable. It was a great school, and I know they meant well, but I didn't like that.
I never went to special ed, thank god, but everyone was always telling me how smart I was and trying to put me forward a grade, but I just wanted to be like everyone else. That's part of the reason I was mainstreamed in the first place. I just wanted to be with my friends and not be a big deal.

um yes
why are you asking

No you will never be normal, accept the fact that you are an angel disguised as a monster.
Holy shit, that part when they asked him if he liked the song and he said "No, it was sad" and they just fucking cackle their asses off. That made my blood boil.
God bless you okay?

to be fair everyone was surprised and probably made super uncomfortable/nervous by the fact that he didn't like his song. people tend to laugh in those situations to defuse the tension.

i think the whole point was that she wrote a really offensive song in the first place and they should have known way way better
this whole segment shouldn't have been on tv let alone what they subjected that kid to
Jesus that song sucked
did they just rhyme alone with
alone?
um yes

because you do not seem to understand the video
Did Kathie ever apologize or respond to this?

I know how you feel man, I got put into special ed myself. Adjusted pretty well by the end, though, even despite the bullies and despite feeling like you get separated from everyone else for unexplained or awkward reasoning because of the affliction. Or, condition, or whatever one would classify autism as.
It's really depressing that I initially thought that was satire. I thought it was kinda like this:
