The Wikileaks Iraq war logs provide us with a unique picture of every death in Iraq. These are those events mapped using Google Fusion tables
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/datablog/interactive/2010/oct/23/wikileaks-iraq-deaths-map Check it out, it's pretty interesting. Every death is marked with a dot, and every dot gives what happened, who was wounded or killed (Coalition, Iraq, Civilian, or Enemy), the date, lat and long, and report number.
That's really interesting.
That is a sick amount of dots.
Kinda wish they were color coded.
So many deaths.
Kinda wish they were color coded.
You would run out of colors.
You would run out of colors.
Pretty sure he meant like 1 color for accidental deaths 1 color for civilian deaths 1 color for US deaths 1 color for an event where no one died, just wounded etc.
Why isn't the July 12 airstrike on civilians marked on the map?

Jesus, look at the ones in Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
A lot of the dots are lined up, what's with that?
Possibly roads? Roadside bombs are pretty common out there as well.
stop this. stop this right fucking now.
damn that's a lot.. imagine one of these for WW2 or something :O
The Holocaust. "That was our great grand dad, the one near the middle next to about 26 other guys"
Well, at least they killed a few enemies. But a shit ton of civilians along the way :saddowns:
Well, at least they killed a few enemies. But a shit ton of civilians along the way :saddowns:
"who cares about the civilians? they are not american!" :downs:
stop this. stop this right fucking now.
Are you dumb? The war in Iraq has pretty much stopped. A big portion of civilian deaths on here are from IEDS.
Have you guys checked out the ones at the airport. Once of them states a Coalition soldier killed with reasons as other close to the air dock. Makes me wonder if he got overrun by an air plane.
The Holocaust. "That was our great grand dad, the one near the middle next to about 26,000 other guys"
I fixed it a little bit.
A lot of the dots are lined up, what's with that?
Busy areas.
Click on the dots, you can see what happened.
What the fuck has America been up to. I kept zooming out and more and more dots showed up. Each dot represents a life being lost. [editline]23rd October 2010[/editline] I just found an assassination mission where they killed 14 civilians.. and no enemies. Well done.
