Hey. I don't normally make threads, and this thread may be stupid and short, but we'll see how it goes.
First thing's first: I know threads like these generally end really bad. But see, I really want this to work. I hadn't realized these things at all until I was talking to my friends today, but growing up from grade 3 to 7 I had a friend whose name was Sean. As far as I recall, he was my best friend ever. He introduced me to video games, the internet, and when we were slightly older, Facepunch. Without realizing it, he shaped the person who I would become by giving me these things. We hung out occasionally when we started going to high school, but as of this moment I haven't seen him in around 2 or 3 years.
Today, I realized how much I owe this friend. I don't know if he still browses these forums, or even still lives in the same town, but I'm curious. His username was something to do with Samus Aran, I think. Except he spelt it "Samith", but eh. Finding him is unnecessary. I've tried all over Facebook, but to no avail. When we used to use the social networking site Bebo, we'd talk, but the last time he signed on was apparently the 25th of November, 2009. It's been a while. He might still use Facepunch, I don't know. I hope he does though. I want him to know that I've only just realised how good a friend he was, and his friendship is still with me because of the things I do. I don't know why we suddenly lost contact, or if I was a dick the last time we hung or something else I don't remember doing. If it is, I'm sorry. But if you're there Sean: thanks. Contact me or something. I wanna know how you're doing. :unsmith:
By some chance if anyone thinks they might know him, PM me or post. That'd be pretty cool. Mods, if you think this is retarded or unnecessary, lock it or something. But I hope you'll let it stay for a guy who just wants to find his only childhood friend.

I got in touch with my best friend from grade 7. I found him on Facebook. We hung out a few times but his life got really fucked up after I moved away and he's a major stoner now, working fast food and dwelling on the past. I feel really bad for him because he was and still is exceptionally smart and could have been so much more. We stopped talking though because I have to make all the effort to get him out doing anything and I'm just too busy, and he's on Facebook once every 3 months or something, so.. oh well.

I live in a town called blessington in Ireland. But my firend is 17, and in Ireland we don't call them grades we call them years or classes so i think its a long shot!
