That's crazy.
One question. Will this have the same effect as what Halo did to youtube?
Holy shit they announced in like 2009, maybe 2008, I assumed they'd abandoned it
Looks like its time to reinstall TF2
It lags severs to all hell. Annoying as fuck.
I know, but it's what the community does with this that will be really crazy!
They'll make frag videos.
They'll make frag videos.
LET THE BODIES HIT THE EARBUDS
i still can't connect to steam
When they'll stop adding new features to TF2 and start focusing on other games? I thought TF2 was a finished product after the first weaponry updates.
When they'll stop adding new features to TF2 and start focusing on other games? I thought TF2 was a finished product after the first weaponry updates.
I think they use TF2 as a sandbox to test new things (such as hats), and in the future implement them in other games.

The "Meet the" videos are Valve learning how to do movies, that experience is something they will use to create a Half-Life movie and is also why they made all those Portal 2 videos as well. Hats is a community project they succeeded with and has proven to be a good profitable ground for their company allowing them to gain money from free updates (allowing them to keep making great free updates) without actually charging for actual content, but rather free optional content and has allowed them to get the community to get involved with the game by creating their own custom content that can get officially supported as well. TF2 is an ever evolving game that is the testing grounds for future things Valve will do with newer products. It's also their closest tie-in with the community giving them quick access to lots of user feedback.
When they'll stop adding new features to TF2 and start focusing on other games? I thought TF2 was a finished product after the first weaponry updates.
I never thought I'd hear someone complain about a company providing too many updates for a game
One question. Will this have the same effect as what Halo did to youtube?
Halo hat or that console game? What happened with youtube, what Halo did to youtube?
Hat showoff's everywhere.
Fucking. Sick of Fucking. Updates. For this. Give us this across all source games. Don't just give it to Team FuckedUp 2
Every game should have this replay feature, multiplayer or not.
Chill out, they're updating Portal 2 with new content this summer, and what other Source games would they update? Half-life 2? Left 4 Dead 2?
Well, L4D2 could create some hilarious footages.
I can guarantee you that this is Valve making sure this all works in time for Dota 2.
Chill out, they're updating Portal 2 with new content this summer, and what other Source games would they update? Half-life 2? Left 4 Dead 2?
Im hoping they add support for this in the new SDK. So that mods can use this. But also I would love to see this supported across all source games. Portal2/L4D1-2/HL2 and Ep1 and Ep2 etc etc.
I never thought I'd hear someone complain about a company providing too many updates for a game
Well, what if those updates are ruining the game?
The replay editor is pretty fucking neat. Playing, capturing, editing and uploading of this little clip all took less than 15 minutes.
Does this have depth of field tools? or only MB?
There are gonna be so many bad videos made now. Good luck chaps, see you on the other side.
Does this have depth of field tools? or only MB?
I don't remember seeing DoF settings anywhere.
First game I played that recorded online games was Uncharted 2 and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I love this.
So is this similar to Gta4's editing feature?
Ugh, just noticed this doesn't work well with the automated instant respawn on one of our servers. You don't get time to press the 'save replay' button after your death. Can probably fix this by having players press a button before they respawn.
