One of my things I like to do is to go onto Wikipedia and just search articles. Today, I searched Kim Jong-Il (because of recent NK shellings), and found quite interesting things about his personal life. I quoted the amusing one's below.
Sources:
Kim Jong-Il - Great Leader
Kim Jong-Un - Heir
Kenji Fujimoto - Personal Chef
Love for food:
According to Fujimoto, he would travel the world for Kim, all expenses paid, purchasing Chinese melons, Czech beer, Uzbek caviar, Thai papayas and Danish pork. On one occasion, an envoy was sent to China to retrieve some McDonald's hamburgers.
His deprived son who never got to go to Disneyland:
Kim Jong-un is expected to become leader of the country after his father. His eldest half-brother, Kim Jong-nam, had been the favorite to succeed, but reportedly fell out of favour after 2001, when he was caught attempting to enter Japan on a fake passport to visit Tokyo Disneyland.
Disco?
He said that Kim liked disco music, and preferred watching others dance, rather than dancing himself.
Hobbies:
Also an apparent golfer, North Korean state media reports that Kim routinely shoots three or four holes-in-one per round. His official biography also claims Kim has composed six operas and enjoys staging elaborate musicals. Kim also refers to himself as an Internet expert.
I don't even want to imagine it:
He also spoke of "Kim's Joy Division"—young women chosen to dance for, sing for and bathe Kim, who would be instructed to undress but not allowed to be touched by him or his guards, saying it amounted to "theft".
Books by his chef:
Fujimoto has written three books: Kim's Chef, Kim's Private Life and The Honorable General Who Loved Nuclear Weapons and Girls.
"The Honorable General Who Loved Nuclear Weapons and Girls."
Sounds like a book for our great leader.
I like how the leader of a communist country sent an envoy to china for some McDonald's hamburgers, which is like the symbol of capitalist food.
"Internet Expert"
