I'm asking the same thing to be honest, What fucking happened to this show? Basically, if you have no idea, like no memory in this show, it was a show that ran on Cartoon Network for a year (though it was first seen as early as 2000) following repeats and then got cancelled when
Greg Miller left the show out of frustration and Robot Jones was left to air its second, and final season.
The show got waning support, time slots for the show changed all the time and revoicing for the main robot (Jones) made the show die. But the show before and even during it is alright, in fact it's really good. Characters.. (this isn't them all, there's heaps of characters but due to me not being able to find images for each character, you're gonna need to watch the show to find out) Robot Electro Jones is the title character of the series. He is a robot who does whatever he can to fit in the human society which can go awry sometimes. Whenever the day ends he adds to his memory called Data Log Entry something he learns through the experience. His brain is a giant light bulb. He was originally voiced by Macintalk Junior in season one and Bobby Block in season two. Dad Unit is Robot's father. Whenever he says something, he says it three times. One example would be "Listen to your mother! Listen to your mother! Listen to your mother!" as said in the inaugural episode. He has one hand, wears a tie and almost has a no-nonsense attitude. He is voiced by Macintalk's 'Ralph' voice, who in recent years has become famous for 'starring' in WALL-E. His voice bears a resemblance to Auto's from WALL-E. Mom Unit (voiced by Grey DeLisle) is Robot's mother. She's pink in color and her hands looked like the ends of a gas pump's hose which she uses for giving fuel to her fellow units. Timothy "Socks" Morton (voiced by Kyle Sullivan) is the best friend of Robot Jones. He is quite a fanatic to rock music. He has blond curly hair and wears a green jacket. Charles "Cubey" Cubinacle (voiced by Myles Jeffrey) is the shorter guy with dark, straight hair, wears sunglasses with window blinds for lenses and roller skates. He is a video game lover. When Robot got jumbled in "Cube Wars," he helped fix the situation. Mitch Freeman (voiced by Gary LeRoi Gray) is a lad often seen wearing headphones, a red sweater and sandals. His eyes are obscured by his long hair. He and Cubey made their first appearances in "Electric Boogaloo", the second episode. In "Scantron Love", his last name was Davis. Lenny and Denny Yogman are the notorious young genius twins of the show. They wear red hats that resembles the 1980s band Devo's energy dome hats, yellow shirts and black sneakers. Lenny is tall while Denny is short. They do whatever they can to take Robot's brain. Lenny is voiced by Josh Peck and Denny is voiced by Austin Stout. Shannon Westerburg is a girl in the school. Robot loves her because she has more mechanical attachments than any human he has ever seen, specifically a large orthodontic appliance and a prosthetic leg. She is unaware that Robot has a crush on her and typically finds him more of an annoyance than anything else. Shannon talks with a lisp. She is voiced by Grey DeLisle. Mr. McMcMc is Robot Jones' math teacher. He is voiced by Maurice LaMarche in the pilot and Rip Taylor in the series. Clancy Q. Sleepyjeans is the school janitor. He's voiced by David Koechner. Principal Madman is the principal of Polyneux Middle School. His mustache resembles that of Adolf Hitler's; as such, he is very tyrannical to his students. He is voiced by Maurice LaMarche in the pilot and Jeff Glen Bennett in the series. James is the owner of Nob's Arkaid, where Robot and his friends hang out. In "Hookie 101", it is revealed that he has a discount on game tokens during school. He is voiced by Gedde Watanabe. Gramps Unit is Robot Jones' Grandfather. He obviously first appeared in "Vacuum Friend". Gramps Unit sounds like Robot Jones' father, but isn't Robot Jones' father. Gramps Unit could be the dad of either Dad Unit or Mom Unit. Gramps Unit is voiced by Macintalk's Zarvox. Unfortunately, due to unknown reasons, Cartoon Network HAS NOT released a DVD for this show despite this being an original cartoon cartoon. The only way to watch the show is by watching it online, the link is provided below. http://vimeo.com/user12327536/videos Now even though the show hasn't had a DVD release, CN made a reference to it this year (?) Can you see it? It's really obvious CN still knows about it, I want them to pick it up, dust it off and rerun/make new episodes. The only problem is the fear of RJ losing its "90 sketch" feel, but eh it's a really good show I seriously can't be the only one who remembers this.
The second episode is named Electric Boogaloo? How did I never notice that, this was like my favorite show on CN back then.
Thank you! Yesterday the phrase "Listen to your mother! Listen to your mother! Listen to your mother!" Popped up in my head and I could not remember where it was from. The only episode I can remember was the one with the Rubick's Cube and the bullies switched the stickers so it was unsolvable.
Same thing sort of happened to me, I was browsing tumblr with the tag cartoon network and saw that robot which instantly reminded me of him. I'm really lucky to dig up some videos, like episodes of this is rare back when I really wanted to watch it (2010-2011) but now they're refloating which is awesome
I remember seeing a few episodes.
it's amazing how many tv shows i've seen come and go when i was watching cartoons. time squad. that got cancelled after its like 3rd episode or some shit. anyone remember the premier of courage during that competition they used to hold where they'd show shorts and air the most popular shorts as shows? that was the scariest episode of courage the cowardly dog i'd ever seen lol. i must have been less than 10 when i saw it. weirdest shit ever. it's about some chickens and eggs with spots on them and shit. i've must have seen nearly a hundred of these little one off shows come and go, and like ten billion more pilot shorts. really, someone needs to make a collection of all the shorts ever aired on nickelodeon and cartoon network, there was some really awesome weird shit they showed there. jesus, i remember adult swim before i think they even called it adult swim. WEIRD AS FUUUUUUUUUCK. the 90s and very early 00s had some weird as shit shows man. [editline]26th August 2012[/editline] kinda makes me wish jhonen vasquez would make a show that's more johnny the homicidal maniac than kiddie stuff. actually it makes me wish he would have done it back in the day way before invader zim. probably would have been the most awesome show ever.
time squad. that got cancelled after its like 3rd episode or some shit.
Time Squad made it to 2 seasons totaling out 26 episodes. Same thing happened to Megas XLR which is unfortunate as both of these shows rocked.
Time squad was semi-successful and was actually really good
Haha, I just went "Yeah... whatever happened to Robot Jones?" They knew that would happen when they came up with the name..
Oh god guys I just watched electric boogaloo and it reminded me too much of when I used to get bullied in primary fffuck
MEGAS PHILLY CHEESE STEAK!!! if there isn't already we need a nostalgia thread up in this subforum.
Rings a bell for me, I think I remember an episode where one of his friends grew really big for some reason, thats all I can recall :v:

I miss it. I remember a lot of good cartoons too, but I'd go super nuts if Courage and Time Squad were picked up. Especially Courage.
Yeah, whatever happened to Whatever Happened to Robot Jones?
Yeah, whatever happened to Whatever Happened to Robot Jones?
The show's producer left the show because of his frustrations, I just want him to come back and revive this show, it has so much potential especially if he keeps the 90's sketch style and the 80's setting.
I certainly remember this show. It wasn't my favorite, because back in the day I sort of took issue with the animation style. I'd love to catch some episodes of it now, though. Same goes for TimeSquad.

I DO NOT WANT A CYBORG BABY
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
In light of Film and TV being spotlighted, hopefully we find more people who remember this.
i use to watch this show alot.
I remember watching this show, and I liked it. Oh god the nostalgia.
I loved this art style, it looked like Schoolhouse Rock.
I really vaguely remember it existing but nothing specific comes to mind.
Fruxo, every time I see your avatar, and consequently your name, I am reminded of the show.
Fruxo, every time I see your avatar, and consequently your name, I am reminded of the show.
Haha I'm a really big fan of this show despite it having such a short life, it was really a brilliant series. I kinda wish they brought it back or released a DVD for high quality watching. [editline]5th November 2012[/editline]
I loved this art style, it looked like Schoolhouse Rock.
That art style is really something, I'm worried if it gets brought back it'll loose this.
