I'm still not sure I understand what would convince developers to make yet [i]another[/i] WWII shooter. Don't get me wrong, WWII is an epic story in it's own right, and there are definitely good games on it, but at this point, it's been rehashed so many times, the WWII games just seem to blur into each other.
I think developers should try some other war for a change of pace.

Resistance and Liberation was starting to be developed before WW2 games were even popular/made.
Then I suppose R&L has a reason. Still, I hope the genre fades out for awhile sometime soon.
It already has. Developers are doing 'modern warfare' now.

In the views of the average person, World War II was the "last" large-scale conflict fought with conventional weapons.

With a few exceptions, it's like anything else other than "post 1991 wars" is basically faux pas.

And eventually people will get tired of Modern Warfare games now and developers will probadly move either before WWII or into futurisitic games.

Downloading forgotton Hope 2 and RnL. I played RnL when it was in, I think, alpha, and it was a ton of fun with friends.
FH2 is AMAZING.
