Truly a novel to inspire a generation. [sp]The release date was on 9/11 of course.[/sp]
Man, the hardcover is out of stock already. Going to hold out until I can get my hands on that version.
This is kinda gay.
I miss the old old filthy frank videos :(
A couple days ago I wrote a post about how this guys nihilistic schtick is pretty tired; and the very first words of this video sound like they're ripped right from a Rick and Morty episode. lazy
A couple days ago I wrote a post about how this guys nihilistic schtick is pretty tired; and the very first words of this video sound like they're ripped right from a Rick and Morty episode. lazy
Frank and his show has been around before Rick and Morty. His content has always been like this. His humor isn't for everyone but I for one can appreciate it.
A couple days ago I wrote a post about how this guys nihilistic schtick is pretty tired; and the very first words of this video sound like they're ripped right from a Rick and Morty episode. lazy
Dude, what is your problem? The whole point is to satirize that kind of thing. The entire concept of Filthy Frank is to satirize how awful and terrible that shit is while making it funny because it's so over the top. Have you watched any of his actual videos? I don't understand how you could possibly think any of them are serious. In any case, we get it. You don't like Filthy Frank, or even George as a person outside of that character. You don't have to rehash it in every thread about something he does.

Oh wait he did. Lazy critique.
If only he had immediately made fun of himself for saying those sorts of things to make it clear he was being sarcastic and satirical. Oh wait he did.
it's okay though i'm just expressing my displeasure with what I saw, nothing wrong with that; im fine with you liking what I don't.
Yet this the second thread you've decided to announce your opinion on the subject in and also argue about it.

Lazy." One is expressing your opinion, the other is attacking the content and/or it's creator directly, and could possibly be interpreted as taking a jab at the fans as well.

Of course you'd have to take the initiative to understand that I, as a random person on the internet; do not have authority over everything that exists and when I say that something is distasteful I'd probably be saying that as an opinion.
A couple days ago I wrote a post about how this guys nihilistic schtick is pretty tired; and the very first words of this video sound like they're ripped right from a Rick and Morty episode. lazy
*typical intelligent rick and morty viewer comment*
I can't believe Frank stole nihilism directly from Rick and Morty, the creator of said belief system
Everyone knows it was Friedriech Nihi-eechee that coined it.
A couple days ago I wrote a post about how this guys nihilistic schtick is pretty tired; and the very first words of this video sound like they're ripped right from a Rick and Morty episode. lazy
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Filthy Frank. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Frank's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Filthy Frank truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Chin Chin's existencial catchphrase "ochinchin ga daisuki nandayo," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as George Miller's genius unfolds itself on their computer monitors. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Filthy Frank tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
I think this is his first video where he actually talks in his normal voice (not counting that one deleted video).

You people are arguing with someone who thinks you can emigrate to another country on $500.
Even tho i am a fan, i am kinda waiting for someone to review the book :v:
Why do people knock nihilism so hard?
Why do people knock nihilism so hard?
It's become horribly associated with edgy teenagers. I quite like the way Kurzgesagt explained how I've really thought of Nihilism most of my life I've been aware of the concept. "Optimistic nihilism". Yeah sure, everything is pointless and it's going to end. But fuck it. You're here now, live for it. Do what makes you happy. Do what makes those around you happy (especially if it makes you happy!). Do things to ensure those that come after us have easier, less pained lives than us. Be the best you that you can be. Because fuck it, you get one chance to change the world. Might as well see what you can do before "you" cease to be.
Why do people knock nihilism so hard?

It's become horribly associated with edgy teenagers.
Plus there are better philosophies that are similar to nihilism but less dreary. Namely absurdism or existential nihilism.
So, will this book have a special edition with a real/faux leather case with the gold title pressed in? because that would be rad as fuck
Because it's bogus and is unsubstantiated.
I'll take your bogus opinion for $200 please
Because it's bogus and is unsubstantiated.
I don't think that's a valid critique of nihilism. Especially so as you're calling a subjective point of view "unsubstantiated".
ah snip whatever not going to start shit at 7 am
[t]http://shrani.si/f/3a/a7/2JkeRb4N/francisofthefilth.png[/t] notice the arm Damn real shame, i'm gonna miss this kind of humor. It truly was perfect for me. I sincerely hope that he will make atleast one more vidoe with his old crew(prometheous, red dick, negi etc.) and The Shrimpson Boys.
On that Amazon link for the book, Amazon's 'customers who bought this also bought these' system never fails to amuse me
