I don't know about you guys, but me and my friends have all gotten a mass influx of MSN spam bots. Most of the names are 'FirstLast####@hotmail.com', it's driving me nuts. Worse of all is they're dumb as all hell. "Lets get on cam baby, http://link.com!", then they spam dumb shit such as "Come on, don't you want to see me on cam?", resends different link. The one I just got actually asked me what the previous link it sent was. I am assuming it's because it didn't want to send me a different link to look suspicious?
So, is this happening to everyone with MSN lately? Why wouldn't MS put a stop to this, after-all every email that's done it has a hotmail address. That is unless MS is allowing people to do this... Perhaps profiting from it.
I've actually never gotten one of these, sounds annoying though.

My idea would be custom client packs (like miranda or trillian), who would ignore messages or likely by keywords like "www.*.ru", or similiar. Never really looked into it, tho'.

I've started to recieve those invites too. Around once every day.
Hoping it will stop before I have to take more drastic measures. But I'll never make a new account as it's been mine my whole life.

Yeah, I've been getting them daily, pretty much. I don't know where they could have got my email from though. I never sign up anywhere online with my hotmail. I use gmail, or some shitty spam email account I have.

He did it. She took a picture, it went around school.
But at-least he saw her tits right?

I am getting alot of these people trying to add me. Atleast 5 times a day.
I thought I was alone; when asking, people kept accusing me of using this email to sign up for porn websites, even though its my private e-mail. I have also been reciveing a shit load of spam advertising fucked up porn.
I always get them in ICQ.

Use a packet editor to send 1000 nudges a second and make them crash.

That doesn't crash people does it? I used to do that all the time, it just annoyed people and made them disable nudges. Well, actually, I just made it not block the nudge button. I don't have a packet editor. Well, I do have WireShark, but I don't know how to really use it.

I think, as IM networks decrease in mainstream popularity, it becomes easier for them to be invaded by spam-bots. I know nobody uses Yahoo Messenger anymore, but if you do, you'll notice quickly that it seems you're the only human on there.
GTalk seems to be the new way to go.

I guess they still work. I thought I noticed some oddity over the last few days.
spam bots haven't gotten worse. People have gotten dumber.

The thing is that I never clicked one. Nor have I given my email to anyone outside my contact list.
I got loads of these bots adding me on msn too.
