When I left for work yesterday morning if I had known I would have never seen my cat again I would have stayed home. His name was Sniffy, he was almost 9 years old and he was the most unique cat I have ever seen. He was my best friend and my brother. When I needed him he was there, always trying to cheer me up. I share many memories with him. When it came time to close at work, my Mom picked me up which was unusual as I ride my bike home. When we got to the house I felt something was missing. She informed my that Sniffy had passed away because of fluid build up in his heart. I sobbed for nearly an hour. I will always remember him. But instead of mourning his passing I would rather celebrate his life. So here's to Sniffy, my best friend and my brother.
I teared a little. Im sad now. Thanks a lot
Damn it I just woke up, and now i'm going to feel bad all day. I'm sorry for you though :sigh:
R.I.P Sniffy!
Oh my god.. I'm so sorry to hear this. This story touched my heart.
something like this happened to me in april.
My dog was old, we were having a heat wave and i was about to leave for school in the morning. We all knew he was going to die soon, but right before i left, i sat down, talked to him, pet him and hugged him. I gave him an ice cube to munch on in the heat and filled his bowl with iced water. I had a gut feeling it would be the last time i'd see him. I was right.
I feel you man.
A toast, to Sniffy!
Why is it we always tear up for cats?
:h:
I thought this was going to be a parody thread about penis mutilation, then i was like :sympathy:
From the title, I knew it wasn't your penis.
I feel for you OP, it's always hard to have a friend passing away suddenly.
:sympathy:

Same.
Christ I feel like an asshole now.
Losing a pet hurts, I know. I've been there.

Fucking ninjas.
Threads like this one make me scared for when one of my cats will eventually die.
Poor Sniffy.

Because they are cute. You wouldn't cry if your goldfish dies would you?
noes! :(. Got any pictures?
Sorry, OP. :saddowns: It's never easy losing a pet. Hopefully you still have some pictures and such to remember him by, I never took any of Jazz or Pepper before they died so there's only a few that my parents took floating around.
I haven't made that mistake with Kiara, however.
I feel sorry for you OP, he's now in a better place, RIP
Aww :saddowns:

I am very sorry to hear that. But I think the thing that hurts most is that I never got to do this, we didn't even know that he was ill. The last time I saw him he was on my deck enjoying the sun. I didn't know I'd never see him again.

Fish don't really exhibit any sentience or personality though, Cats do which allows us to develop far deeper emotions for them.
You're a furry. a cat that you have as a pet is not your 'brother', get out.
I have had 3 cats, 4 fish, 6 rats die on me.
Shit hurts.
I now have a dog, 2 cats, 2 degus (google it) and a few fish and I am dreding that day when I return home from school to find any of them deceased.
Whenever I next have a pint, A toast shall be given to Sniffy.

You've obviously never had a cat before. Or some 12 year old troll that is trying to make himself feel better about his wasted life by making fun of other people
