The renderer's obviously broken, but the game's running and at a stable framerate, too. Even more so, the UI elements are perfectly fine, there seems to only be minor sound lag, and the loading times were severely cut down.
The amount of progress on this is downright insane. Another video on the same channel shows Dragon Ball Raging Blast.
Oh no, not that, anything but that.
the loading screens arnt 30 seconds long
miracles
Of all the games...
Of all the games...
hey, if it ran like shit and was unstable as fuck on the 360, it's the perfect challenge
I wonder if it will also run the original Xbox games?
Sorta doubt it, but optimism.
red dead redemption PC please
Halo 3 here we come
I wonder if a bit of memory hacking can tap into the right analog stick control and modify it to be able to work on PC as a close-enough form of mouse control, I'm sure something can be jury-rigged if we can get ahold of the variables that control the movement of the in-game camera and modify it, such as removing acceleration of the camera
I feel with enough hacking and jury-rigging as well as some emulator support, you could get it working to at least SOMEWHAT feel like a proper mouse control scheme. But it's the kind of thing that'd have to be hacked into every game on a game-by-game basis, rather than something universal and easy. It'd also take a lot of fiddling and testing before it could work and by no means would it be perfect, but it'd be something.
If people got a device you could plug into your 360 working for keyboard and mouse control, it probably wouldn't be difficult to do the same here in reverse here. The problem is efficient range of movement only an analogue stick can provide in comparison to arrow keys.
Best be for Halo 3 pc is still El Dewrito mod for Halo Online.
I think a port of the Halo 3 campaign to Halo: Online is more realistic.
what amazes me the most is that even 3D games are playable already even with broken textures
What about 2D games? those should runw ithout issues
how do you even know if the game is having a gamebreaking bug or an emulator bug
like why in the fuck sonic o6
side-by-side comparisons with footage on a console
99% of the time the game breaks down on both
then again if you can get sonic 06 to work on pc you like, have it mastered, so I guess it makes sense

Melpontro, the channel this is on, also modded '06 in the past before, and even was part of the team involved with porting Emerald Coast from Adventure 1 into '06. If the game becomes able to be emulated, arguably since it seems to speed up the load-times, able-minded members of the community could probably fix a lot of stupid shit that Sonic Team and SEGA refused to patch almost a decade ago.
Not that it'll fix the story but hey, baby steps.
it's gonna take some serious hacking to fix the technical problems of the game, going beyond the limits of an emulator. Sonic 06 The Fixed Edition: coming 2025
You should check out his other videos. It's surprising what they were able to do on a hacked console alone.
Man a 360 emulator would be so baller. I'd love to play Gears of War 2 and Kameo: Elements of Power again.
I could also actually play Red Dead Redemption for the first time.
Dragons dogma please.
RDR, MGS, GOW, Halo and Forza 4 to name a few on PC would be pretty sweet. :v:

all I could think of was "we are 100% black"
The same dev team is working on a PS3 emulator and they have Demon's Souls running with some issues but it's definitely coming along. Expecting to play RDR/Demon's Souls/Dragon's Dogma and Heavy Rain within a year or two at full speed.
So does this mean that in all 10 years the Xbox has been released, noone made an emulator untill now?

Well,
a) Xbox 360 had games coming since 2005, 5 years which aren't in the graphic.
b) there's a ton of games that are exclusive to being on only both PS3 and Xbox 360, and AFAIK no PS3 emulator is anywhere near this functional so these games are "exclusive" to the platform, practically
Oooh
60 fps Dragons Dogma soon?
I'm so picking it up when Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise and EDF 2017/2025 work

Yeah but is there really anything noteworthy 2005-2008? Crackdown, Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 are the only games I can really think of that are relevant anymore. The 360 just doesn't have exclusives that people care about.
Most of the forums I've seen are way more focused on the availability of Dragon's Dogma and Red Dead Redemption than they are about the possibility of playing Halo or Gears of War.

Trouble in Paradise didn't come to PC like the original? That's a shame.
Woah, it's pretty impressive. I thought massive amounts of CPU power would be needed to emulate the three core PPC processor. You probably won't be running this on a laptop any time soon, but I'm still impressed if it can run on an average gaming PC.
