Damn it looks great. Pretty weird to see the knight just rolling around super fast like in Bloodborne though.

And the network tests don't have equip load activated on account of you not being able to access the inventory, but I'm not sure if it's the same case here. It kinda looks like a light, "naked" roll animation in the video, though.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT
Hell yes, this is what I always thought DS2 was missing. The huge atmosphere, massive enemies that make you think it's an impossible challenge.
When I look at this, I see Dark Souls. For some reason, looking back at Dark Souls II, it really doesn't seem very Dark Souls-y now, if that's a way to put it.

Now that was a boss I expected from a dark souls game

God damn that hand popping out was creepy. I'm liking the creative approach they've taken with the boss designs.
Damn it looks great. Pretty weird to see the knight just rolling around super fast like in Bloodborne though.
In an interview they said weight limits haven't been implemented in the network tests, I'm assuming it's the same thing here
Probably because Dark Souls 2 was weak and a really shit excuse for a Dark Souls game.
Dark souls 2 was an amazing game, but it wasn't an amazing SOULS game. this is because the main man/team that worked on demon/dark souls 1 wasn't working on it. it's kind of like assassins creed 4. It's a great game, but it's a poor assassins creed. It doesn't do AC well at all, while doing pirate shit REALLY well.
It was a okay game I wouldn't call it amazing at all. I just never got that rush that Dark Souls gave me when I beat a boss

It felt weightless, inconsistent, overly smooth and borderline anti co-op. It just wasn't very fun to play.
If that's the boss they're willing to show off in an early gameplay trailer, I can't wait to see what they got up their sleeve.
Probably because Dark Souls 2 was weak and a really shit excuse for a Dark Souls game.
It wasn't shitty but in retrospect it's pretty easy to tell it was made by the B-team.
I just recently started playing Bloodborne too. I think I'll definitely get this game.
I really hate to bitch, but there doesn't seem to be any weight to the character's movements like in DS1. There's almost no recovery time between rolls or after. Fights always felt tense and methodical because you had to commit to every movement, and if you made a poor choice in your timing you would be punished severely for it. I thought that's one of the things that made the game unique. Now I haven't played DS2 or BB, so maybe this isn't that new and doesn't take away from the formula as much as I thought. To me, the biggest strength DS1 had was its level design and atmosphere. Simply exploring the world of Dark Souls was one of the most thrilling experiences I've ever had playing a video game. If DS3 offers something on par with that then hell yeah I want in on it.
They're most likely using a build similar to the one use in the Network Stress Tests where armor doesn't have any weight.
Probably because Dark Souls 2 was weak and a really shit excuse for a Dark Souls game.
Dark Souls 2 was a very good game. It just doesn't have a real story, it's a mess in that case. You warp around and the world doesn't make sense. But they did all the right things in how it feels. It's fucking amazing to play.

A boss battle with ADS, AOE attacks, and releases poison areas that restrict movement. I'm getting worried :v:
Looks like they took alot of inspiration from Bloodborne themes, not a bad thing at all i like the synergy between the two i'm seeing.

I saw PSX in the title and for a sec thought someone has made a homebrew Darksouls for the PS1.
the weak spot on that tree monster is very clearly its giant stone testicles
Thought it was funny how the demo-player was missing a lot due to being told to play at that awful cinematic angle :v:
