"Wall Street" star Michael Douglas has throat cancer and will undergo eight weeks of radiation and chemotherapy, his production company told The Post.

The 65-year-old Oscar winner, who kicked his half-pack-a-day habit in 2006, is expected to make a full recovery, and told People.com he's "very optimistic."
Douglas' company, Further Films, refused to comment further on his condition.
It was not clear yesterday how treatment for Douglas' tumor will effect the promotion of "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," the sequel to the 1987 blockbuster, which earned him an Oscar for Best actor.
In the new film, he reprises his role as greedy broker Gordon Gekko. It's set for release Sept. 24.
It's been a tough year for Douglas, whose troubled son, Cameron, was sentenced in April to five years in prison for dealing drugs.
Douglas, the son of Hollywood icon Kirk Douglas, is married to actress Catherine Zeta-Jones.
He has also starred in "Basic Instinct" and "Romancing the Stone."
:(
This matter is very lumpy.
I hope he gets better.
Hopefully nothing bad will come out of this in the near future, he's a great actor.
I feel bad for him, he is such a great actor. A shame he has such a retarded son who thinks its okay with drugs and shaming his father.
Get Salmonella.
Never heard of him.
Of course, since when was someone getting cancer newsworthy?

Tho, I am very saddened.
Ah, that sucks. I really hope he beats that cancer fucker. Great actor, too.

Shut up asshole
Oh god, I only first saw Falling Down 3 days ago.
I hope he's okay.

What do you mean anyone remember? EVERYONE should remember. Such a brilliant move.
Greed is good, it helps pay for cancer treatment.
Edit:
Seriously though he is my second favorite actor (Tom Hanks beats him out by a bit). I don't want him to go so soon :frown:

Best wishes for The Douglas. Get better.
8 people die in race accident. Funnies and puns all around.
One pampered overpayed rich ass gets cancer and suddenly it's a fucking emo convention up in this bitch.
Race accident is recoverable and involves unimportant people.
This guy has talent and will likely recover with HUGE consequences.
I hope he recovers :C

It's not funny when it's cancer :colbert:

Because no one knew who the 8 people were. So no one cared, everyone knows who this guy is, so everyone cares.
Are you guys overlooking the part where the article says he's "expected to make a full recovery?"
You're acting like he's on his deathbed.

I doubt anyone on this forum knows him. They probably seen him in movies, but they don't know him personally.
Anyways, this guy is a rich celebrity, he can easily pay for the treatment. While a family somewhere is crying because a family member died because they were one day late on insurance payments, and no one cares.
