Then go. It's only money. And the flights are really the only thing that's a bitch. Just buy a cheap van when you get there and sleep it in while you travel.... cheap as bro
Looked up prices and it's bloody expensive, like really expensive.
Dude the new elder scrolls has such good graphics

Depends on when you go... and of course where you go from. From the US I found round trip flights for ~900-1000 during august/september.
They have random deals and booking 3 or more months in advance helps.
I had no idea they actually built the houses in LoTR in New Zealand.
this video is amazing jeez
Man, It's a shame I've only got to see the Hobbiton set before they started working on the Hobbit. It basically looked like shit back then. Kinda awesome how it's looking now though.

Visiting NZ or do you live there?
I 'lived' there for half a year back in 2009.
Definitely gonna go back sometime in the future though. Beautiful country, friendly people.
Edit:
Going there is totally worth it by the way. If you ever get the chance(and have the money, cause yeah, it IS expensive sadly) you absolute have to go. The flight (24 hours for me) is fucking terrible and kills your mind though. But that's the only downside! :v:

are you a tolkein geek? or just love nz? or probably both... so i answered my own question.
I've been to NZ, went up to Mt. Cook. It was the best holiday I've ever had. If you get a chance to go there, you should go.

By the way, I think I might have sent you two PM's because I thought I didn't send the first one.
But yea, I've always had this fascination for Australia and New Zealand, ever since I was young. The LOTR movies just enhanced that.
Regarding Tolkien, no, not really. I've read the LOTR books once and The Hobbit twice. Which I guess is also why I don't really get so made like some people out there. They hear one tiny thing PJ is changing for The Hobbit and everyone goes mad. I'm just looking forward to the movies.
NZ is such a lovely place. I'd live there if I could. Actually i might when I'm older.
I've been in that cave at :15. It's awesome. All the dots of light are glow worms :v:
I live in New Zealand and can confirm that our people can fly.

why I would want to see New Zealand
I live in nz. If anyone ever visits Auckland and wants to partake in the traditional new zealand experience of getting stoned hit me up :v:
We have a place called the daktory in Auckland which is like a coffee shop in amsterdam, you can go in and buy weed of all different types and the police leave it alone.

What about jay day, do you know about that? on the first saturday of may there are cannabis protests around the country. In auckland a few hundred people chill out in albert park with dj's cranking chill music and everyone blazes openly, A couple of police walked through this year but just to make sure noone was drinking alcohol :v:
I live in Melbourne, I'll probably boat my way over to New Zealand someday and go hiking.
Seems like a fun place to hike.
Wow that is the best advertisement for a vacation spot I have seen, ever.

I lived in Auckland for a short time and can confirm that there is a LOT of pot smoking going on there. Parks practically smell like weed all year round, no joke.
Yea man i can smoke on a park bench in the middle of the biggest park in auckland city and people walk by and do nothing
i might want to see more rocks and trees within my life time, this advert is convincing
It's really like the Australian ads where they show some really cool shit but when you go to the cities it's just scum
seriously
