It was a deadly start to the Canada Day long weekend on Manitoba highways as at least four people died in a pair of collisions on Thursday afternoon, and more were hospitalized. Wreckage littered the ditch along Highway 10, which was closed for several hours on Thursday afternoon. (PHOTO COURTESY GLOBAL WINNIPEG) The first tragedy occurred Thursday afternoon at about 3 p.m. near Erickson. Police say that a pick-up truck and a passenger vehicle were involved in a head-on collision that killed two people just south of the town. The lone female occupant of the pick up truck was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries. Both occupants of the truck were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities and ages have not been confirmed, although some media reports said there was one male and one female. Highway 10 was closed between Highway 16 and 45 for about five and a half hours as officials dealt with the collision and its aftermath. It re-opened shortly after 9 p.m. Later Thursday afternoon, a collision on Winnipeg's Perimeter Highway -- in a construction zone -- sent two more people to hospital. Then, at about 8 p.m., a car and an SUV collided in the RM of St. Clements. A man and a woman driving a car were killed in the crash, while two people in an SUV were taken to hospital. Police haven't released any names and continue to investigate all three collisions.
http://www.brandonsun.com/breaking-news/Collision-closes-Highway-10-124810019.html?thx=y Extremely bummed out. I knew two of these people killed in the crashes, and one of them was one of my very close friends. This is depressing.
sorry for your loss, but you can't expect everyone to go out in peace.
Sorry for your tragic loss, OP. :frown:
Car crashes are more common than we like to admit. It kinda sucks.
Cunts rating funny.
Sorry to hear that, hun. I don't know what to say besides that. :frown:
