He's being way too lenient with the 'be nice, he's playing devil's advocate here' bollocks. The points were bullshit, the apologetic tone absolutely insufferable and ultimately, the video promotes a harmful attitude that's about as anti-consumer as you can get. He doesn't deserve respect, it's that simple.
The game that made countries go hey wait, let's look into this and see if it needs legislation, should tell you right away all you need to know

That entire "its mainly being done for views" ad-hominem was pretty fucking hilarious though. Gambling addiction is a very serious issue and he just totally and completely missed the entire point to a hilarious degree. The entire thing may as well have been brushed off with a 'listen, this is a free market' argument, it pretty much was really. I think that the most dangerous thing here is the fact that gambling being advertised to kids is ignored because 'hey, the parents are the ones responsible'. Lets be real, most parents are hopeless and most parents didn't have guide on how to raise a child, they're likely to let their child pay for this 'harmless video game thing', without knowledge that its basically an interactive casino that is psychologically manipulating their child. This isn't to say parents are bad for not knowing though, its genuinely not their fault that the ESRB are being negligent and laws are not up to date. So yeah, you are totally right, the mentality he has is very much harmful and apologetic. I don't know if he should be shit on for it, but its a very bad attitude to have towards what amounts to effectively using human psychology for profit.
