There are loads of these near Eastern Poland that the Soviets built. Quite surreal to drive on really.

The Autobahn would be useful when the initial Soviet air offensive, coupled with paratroopers and Spetsnaz would have taken out most, if not all of CENTAG's and NORTHAG's air bases. Then soon enough they would be taken out or caught with their pants down by an operational maneuver group or the forward detachment of a main offensive body.
