Wow they actually made it have infinite ammo?
easy fix here is to limit it to 3-4 shells so that you need 2 people (one for dispensing ammo and the other for firing the mortar) to operate one.
A pretty decent machinima rather early in the life of the game.
Nicely done.
Damnit swebonny :v:
I DIDNNTT KNOW WHAT TO DO. THE PRESSURE :(

The thing is, Support have the Mortar so all they need to do then is drop an ammo kit and they have unlimited ammo either way.
The mortar takes 3-4 hits from 100% to kill a person, and that is with a direct hit. The splash damage is so low and so is direct damage that they're mostly used for surpression. They're also an anti-camper weapon and they fit the purpose perfectly. I've mortared people plenty of times on BF3 and they just stay where they are.
You can't actually see a person directly where they are, they have to be spotted (so recon goes hand in hand here). It's also roughly 5 seconds per shot. It takes roughly 2 seconds after the mortar has fired for it to land, that gives you three seconds to dash out of there and find somewhere else to be and try not to remain spotted. You can only remain spotted as long as someone has line of sight on you.
Mortars are not a problem. It's the idiots that refuse to move after being hit the first time.
Oh and you can easily take mortars out with other mortars, you don't appear on the map until you've fired at least one shot (you flicker for less than a second when you initially set up mind).
Wow I never noticed it before but the mortar doesn't have a loading animation from third person. Lazy DICE. Guess they were too busy working on PC features like the commo rose and ping indicators.
I love the ending :v:
If that's a dig at the lack of a commo rose, hold down Q next time you play.
It doesn't work well, emphasis on "working on" instead of "making".
He's right you know, the commo rose in BF3 is such a bitch to use because the design is too monochromatic, therefore you can't really see which command you've selected.

The only thing mortars can kill in one shot... is other mortars. :v:

And it's pointless. There's no indication when you do any of the commands in it, no text indications like BF2... no one will ever know what you say.
"Every 4 seconds 10,000 players are being killed by mortar spaming"

It's very possible to 1-hit kill people from 100% health.
i.e. getting counter-shelled the moment you set up your mortar
At :53 I just love the blank dumb look he has on his face.
I love the flop he does at the end
Should have had a quick montage of three or four random soldiers getting hit by the mortar, but I agree with everyone else - that was a pretty awesome video :v:
Do I hear the Wilhelm scream at 1:20?
Heh. This was actually a funny video unlike most machinimas I find.
Heh. This was actually a funny video unlike most machinimas I find.
Yeah well I've been trying to work hard to get myself into Machinima but it seems they like to take other shitty vids and a lot of commentaries. I like to make more cinematic videos instead of commentaries.
You made that? Nice video. And I agree, I much prefer the cinematic type of machinimas instead of some guy running around filming a couple of other guys screaming in their mics.
Do more please.

wow a shoddily made video of people being idiots is in the lead.
I was expecting that last mortar round to land on the assault guy just as he was about to knife him.
Ahaha, so that competition on Battlefieldo with the PSA and some other videos, the PSA won. The other contender, Olympics, got disqualified because the creator made 90 accounts to try and win, and the admins found out and DQ'd him. The PSA deserved to win anyways.
