If you think about what Mike Huckabee’s implicit message is with this statement … it’s frightening; he is saying that God has forsaken the 20 kids and 6 adults who were the victim of the gunman at the Connecticut elementary school. He’s saying that if we don’t put God in our schools … we’ll have more “carnage”. That is so offensive on so many levels. Let’s just say a God exists and he’s a Christian god just for argument sake (you pick the sect). And if you think like Huckabee – this God is making a decision to allow these types of decisions to happen apparently. If you play ball with God and integrate religion into the school … he won’t send a crazy gunmen to shoot your kids. That’s what he is saying here. Who would worship that God in the first place? Mike Huckabee’s divine guidance: “We ask why there is violence in our schools, but we have systematically removed God from our schools. Should we be so surprised that schools would become a place of carnage?” “[W]e’ve made it a place where we don’t want to talk about eternity, life, what responsibility means, accountability — that we’re not just going to have be accountable to the police if they catch us, but one day we stand before, you know, a holy God in judgment. If we don’t believe that, then we don’t fear that.”
http://www.classwarfareexists.com/mike-huckabee-kids-were-killed-because-we-removed-god-from-our-schools/
Extremists piss me off.
Get fucked with a rake, mister Huckabee. Thanks, - Every sane person.
opinion blog reporting on fox news ok [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] this guy is an idiot though
That's odd, I thought that these type of Christians would view it as a gateway to the afterlife.
Pretty weak deity of he just sits on the sidelines and pouts because a bunch of men wrote down the separation of church and state.
And lets just shit on the graves of 26 people so you could push your social ideology. Thanks Huckabee, I wasn't mad enough.
Using a massacre, one in which a lot of children died, as a means of propelling a religious agenda. How classy.
Well, God ruined a guy's life just to win a bet with Satan once, so...
But it was their time because God has a plan for everyone. So what'all the fuss about? It frustrates me that this type of person can lie themself into believing that their omniscient, all-powerful God would be kept out of schools due to laws that the human race created. Like, what, God is spiting us because we said he couldn't do something. Fuck no! God would go wherever he wanted to. -an agnostic
What a fucking idiot.
ITS SO OBVIOUS NOW I'm glad he explained this to me with a plethora of evidence and logic, i finally understand.
Oh piss off you religous fuck... Everybody can believe in what he wants, but saying that 20 children died because of the "lack of god" in a school is just disgusting. Reminds me of the bloody idiot who said the victims of the shooting at the Batman premiere deserved to die...
Ohhh, I cant WAIT for the Jon Stewart interview over this one.
I feel like if religion didn't exist extremists like this would be in jail for murder. They seem to be the kind of people who only do good because of fear of punishment, not for the actual good of humanity.
This is no better than the WBC's position on incidents like this.
This is honestly something you should expect from Fox News after an event like this.
And if you think like Huckabee – this God is making a decision to allow these types of decisions to happen apparently.
God confirmed to be not only not benevolent but also kind of a dick.
We didn't have a massacre because God was taken from our schools, it's because a sociopath decided to run into a school with a Glock, a Sig Sauer pistol, and a Bushmaster AR-15. God had nothing to do with it.
Someone should cover his dick in honey and stick it in a beehive "Mike Fuckabee"
What a fucking idiot.
This isn't as inconsistent with Christian doctrine as it appears. School shootings are small potatoes compared to stuff God did to the Jews (aka his chosen people) in the Bible. It's not like the christian god was ever anything but a prick. Yeah, it's outrageous that someone would believe this malarky, but I gotta give Huckabee and Bryan Fischer credit for not being like those wussy-ass Christians who think everything is rainbows and unicorns.

Kudos Mike!
Wow.
So he's essentially saying ''God'' is such an egoistic asshole that he allows 20 children to be killed just because he's isn't included in every aspect of people's lives? If so why bother worshiping such a disgusting creature? [editline]16th December 2012[/editline]
Extremists piss me off.
He is a devout christian, not an extremist. Religion doesn't have to be taken to it's full extremes to be harmful.
what a lovely guy

Through prayer.
And this is why we need a new age of enlightenment, a wave of teaching that makes sure that kids grow up knowing that God is not real; He is a thing of mythology. Also we need free mental healthcare for the treatment of religious extremism. The only time mankind would ever need religion would be if there actually WAS a powerful intellect that drew power from prayer and used it to benefit us. But there is not, because there is no science known to man that allows the existence of powerful deities, and it is likely there never will be, because we don't live in Warhammer 40K or Black & White. So we no longer need religion; we don't need mythological fairytales to teach us philosophies and ideologies anymore.
what a lovely guy
realtalk, Huckabee seems like a pretty cool guy when he isn't being a stark raving mad religious fundamentalist.
