lol I dont get why this is... personally id love to be a member of what.cd but its just seem ridiculously hard to get into it without openly asking people. Like its a taboo and they want to keep as many people out as possible.

I got an account there, don't use is very much though as I find it hard to seed.
Getting on the site isn't hard if you do their IRC interview where they check that you know how their rules and audio related stuff like bitrate, proper ripping, transcoding, lossy/lossless and stuff like that. I managed to get an invite that way the second time I tried it, the stuff isn't as hard as it may look to begin with.

They don't want to keep everyone out, they want to make sure the people who do join are trustworthy. That's why they dont just let anyone in, as if anyone could join many would just take what they want and leave. It's about forming a community really.

Also, I make sure only to use What.CD for things I can't find anywhere else; rarities like b-sides and unreleased material to keep your ratio from skyrocketting. When you join you get 500MB free as well.
And someone once told me that as long as you don't stop seeding, it shouldn't sink below 0 ratio or something. I've got a ratio of 0.44 right now.
Also secondary rule for invite giveaway, you actually have to look like you will be able to seed and stuff. I'm pretty sure that if you do badly it reflects badly on the person who invited you.
