DEFENSE DEPARTMENT PRESS BRIEFING Source [release]Pentagon Spokesman Geoff Morrell conducted a daily briefing at the Defense Department. He called on the website WikiLeaks to return all of the classified war documents in their possession and delete them from the website. [/release] Vid in the source.
It's a reasonable response?
I'm not surprised, honestly.
Well, I would be pissed if someone stole thousands of my secret documents and published them on the internet.
That was really obnoxious. (It was not actually obnoxious at all.)
That was really obnoxious. (It was not actually obnoxious at all.)
What, you already watched/listened to it? I started before I posted this thread and aren't finished yet
Unless he started blowing an airhorn into the microphone at about 15 minutes I can infer from the first few minutes.
I suggest you watch at least to 20 minutes.
I wish I could facepalm. What an idiot.
Well, seeing as this is the internet, there is no way they can get all the information off of the web. Someone most likely has all the data saved somewhere.
I find this response called for. Damage control is needed to prevent anymore unneeded document leaks. Yeah it won't really help, the data is just about everywhere.

But there is still info out there that can still cause harm after they get it off of WikiLeaks. So ya, it won't really help. They can't completely control what's still out there.
wiki-leeks got em pissing in their pants!
And so, more people are bought by the smear campaigns. The only reason those documents are classified, is because the morons who classified them are gonna loose their jobs otherwise. This war was nothing more than a staged conflict to get money, period.
Minimal being over 75,000 out of 92,000? Coolio.
Within acceptable limits. Most of the document already released weren't classified or recently unclassified. The name lists however...
What a pity that WikiLeaks is hosted in Sweden by the same 'no questions asked' provider that use to host PirateBay :P Good luck with that Pentagon..

But they can ask for the files, which won't do shit.
Fuck you Pentagon.
This response isn't surprising. How can you call him obnoxious when we've all exploded like this.
Not obnoxious, but Wikileaks isn't going to listen. They don't have to.
