pretty sure most glasses these days are actually some sort of plastic
never actually tried to break a pair of glasses bc you know, I like being able to see.

Eyeglasses made out of proper actual glass are immensely heavy compared to plastic, they would feel insanely uncomfortable and they'd be prone to shattering when dropped whereas plastic ones would just get some scratches, really.
