it was almost perfect
I don't understand how the interlacing makes it better, but it does.
I don't understand how the interlacing makes it better, but it does.
Not sure how BBC can manage to mess up a video like that though, you'd think they know a thing or two about video encoding & how interlacing shouldn't be in a youtube video.
Speaking of the BBC and television licenses, are those TV detector vans a real thing, or are they an urban legend?
Speaking of the BBC and television licenses, are those TV detector vans a real thing, or are they an urban legend?
Fake as fuck. They don't even have the ability to enter your house to check, you can tell them to fuck off and they can't do anything about it. [editline]17th December 2016[/editline] I guess the van itself might exist, but they can't detect you using a TV.
the shutdown at the end i'm howling
Speaking of the BBC and television licenses, are those TV detector vans a real thing, or are they an urban legend?
They kept posting aggressive letters at my old address claiming I was using a TV without having a valid TV licence, despite the fact I had no TV. On every occasion when they sent someone out to check, I just didn't answer the door. I even wrote to them telling them I had no TV, but that just fanned the flames: it let them know I was living at the address and they started sending scarier letters saying I'd get summoned to court within 28 days if I didn't allow an inspection to take place. Nothing ever came of it. They're assholes. Even if I had a TV, I don't watch TV shows. It's either Netflix, Amazon Prime or I'm streaming stuff from my PC. Regular TV is shit.
No point even paying for it now that Top Gear is dead.
Still better than what the german taxpaid broadcasting service spends the money on: The ending is cut where he says: "I am the Borg, resistance is futile, pay for this service or go to jail"
I'd like to pretend that they have this guy on standby when they're not ready for the weather
Speaking of the BBC and television licenses, are those TV detector vans a real thing, or are they an urban legend?
Fake through and through. When related to TV licenses, most of the propaganda they put out is lies/scare tactics. I have always just put in an application online stating that I don't need a TV license because I don't use TV. They warn on the website that they may want to inspect my property to make sure, but I have never been inspected over a few flats of doing that.
Fake as fuck. The letters threaten that if you don't let them search then they will obtain a search warrant, but for example in Sheffield where there is around 1 million people, roughly only 2 search warrants a year are granted.
