I just got done smoking Some Marihuana.
It tasted pretty bad though. Good sign?
Describe the taste.
eat 2 mangos before you smoke so people wont notice you being high and your mouth doesn't dry
Dunno why everyone bitches about the taste. I love it. Always have.
I wouldn't try to come to any conclusions during your first time.
I assume if you're system has never had THC before, it won't know how to interpret it properly.
For instance; first time I smoked, I couldn't distinguish a flavor and it just tasted like color to me. Was quite an experience.

That's false, you are born with cannibinoid receptors, YOU yourself may not know how to react, but your body knows what's goin on.

I get the "not making your mouth dry" bit, but how does it make it so people don't notice you being high?

It can help cover up the smell of the smoke on your breath, I assume that's what he's talking about anyways.
What did you smoke out of? And was it good weed? Those both greatly affect the taste of your weed.

also, mammals have an neurotransmitter that activates cannabinoid receptors, generally called endocannabinoids.
If you buy shit weed it will taste like shit. I wouldn't really invest in good weed till know what you're doing, since it takes some time to really be able to pick everything up about the weed.
Weed didn't taste good to me until I had smoked it quite a bit. Maybe it was because I was getting better weed? Damn my bad memory :(
I love the feeling of it just sitting in my mouth.
First time I smoked I did not get high, and my friend turns out to be a complete diva-bitch when he's high.
Second time was hilariously fantastic though. It was like a freight-train of joy hit my head at full speed.
Fucking amazing.
Always depends how you smoke, it tastes different when smoked out of a pipe as when you smoke a blunt...

It really is saying something that are bodies are born with these receptors for this "evil" drug

No shit, but it could still be the same weed, different weeds taste different, but the tobacco in the blunt is what would taste different.
Really does, I prefer a bongs over anything else. Blunt's don't get me high usually.
joints and bongs are my absolute favourite way of smoking.

If blunts don't get you high, then you aren't smoking them correctly, not that there's much to figure out.

carl sagan said he didn't get high for the first 4 or 5 times he smoked. I think someone as brilliant as him would be able to grasp the concept of inhaling properly and be able to distinguish if he were high or not.
just a thought.

Hold on there, im not saying our bodies evolved to react to THC or CBD. It just so happens that THC is very similar in pharmacology to endocannabinoids like Anandamide. Its just a coincidence that the plant also produces similar chemicals. Like, chocolate also has small traces of anandamide, which is why it can influence a high. Its not like humans were made with chocolate sensors or something, it just happens to carry chemicals similar to what the body already uses as pleasure inducing messengers.
you react differently when you know what your going to expect, also known as the placebo effect.
nol alcholic drinks to an unknowing person can make them act physically drunk. Brain does amazing things.

theres a strong possibility that he did not know he was high. What I mean is, every new smoker, even other drugs, has to learn what it means to get high. When you experience something new, unlike anything before you have to label the experience. Its funny because I had a conversation about this with my therapist, he told me how he and a few friends were smoking (he avoided saying he got high, just mentioned he was hanging out with some people who just finished smoking, haha my ass Doc) and one girl was smoking for her first time. At first she said, "I dont feel high, i dont think i did it right" yet she was as high as a kite. She couldnt stop smiling (a more exaggerated smile that she has never had) and had the silliest look on her face. He took her to the mirror and asked her to look and see how high she is. She realized how silly she was and started laughing hysterically. She didnt know what she was experiencing was 'high-ness' so she didnt really consciously perceive it. It happens quite often and is why we hear a lot of people saying how they didnt get high their first time even though they did it correctly.
Well, All I know is that when I smoked it, it had a really bad taste to it. Is it possible that whatever my friend had was bad? Not the good kind?

Please never use that logic in an argument, the same thing can be said for lots of drugs, its how a lot of drugs work by being similair to shit your body already has (thats said in very simple terms :v:)

This is true. I was given BC powder and told it was Meth and I thought I was speeding.
not true for me.
i've pounded light alch content beer without knowing it was a very low percentage and didn't get the least bit wasted.
also one time i got some "molly" (could have been anything, i think it was grounded up generic tylenol) and the only buzz/rush i got was from snorting the shit. no effects afterward.
it was strange too cause i had never been ripped off by the guy before...

Exactly, I didnt get high until like 4-5 times too. Hell, the first time I smoked, I smoked a dimebag between me and my best friend, didnt get a true blue high. Then when I actually got my first real high, I smoked just a small bowl between my friend and I, and I got sooo freakin fried.
Wrong thread, lol. I'm fucked up.
if you only do that when you're fucked up you're not getting fucked up enough

No, I know you didn't say that, I read it in a magazine article about it. And I'm pretty sure CBD and THC are only found in Hemp and Pot. And it's certainly possible considering weed has been around for thousands of years.
Also I'm not a very good advocate for this topic in particular, but it made sense when I read it, maybe I'll look it up again and see what it said.
Alright, here taken directly out of the article of high times:
"I always like to finish articles like this by pointing out that human cannabinoid receptors such as CB1 and CB2 are extremely interesting in that they're what convert the plants chemical compounds into a psychoactive/medicinal experience. That there is mutual symbiosis between cannabis plants and human beings that is "binding site specific" is miraculous- and monumental: It implies that throughout human and cannabis evolution, there has been a historic connection between our species."
Then it goes on to talk a little bit about how seeds and hemp cloth etc. has been found in archaeological digs and that weed isn't a new thing, which I'm sure many of you already knew.
