Hey guys
I’ve been an IPhone user since they came out, recently had a play of a friends Galaxy S3 and was really impressed.
Should I get one, or do you think the iPhone 5 is the go?
One thing got me hooked was this game a friend showed me.

If you have the cash, I'd totally say go for the Galaxy SIII.
Aside from the obvious stuff like it's style, OS, smoothness, speed; I must point out its AMAZING camera quality.

I bought the Samsung Galaxy SIII, it is awesome.

It's totally down to you, play with each and see which one you prefer the most.
I'm going to be hammered for this but personally I hate the fuck out my android phone after being an iPhone user. I hightly regret buying an android device.
If an iPhone does enough for you to make it so it doesn't feel closed, i would say stick to the iPhone because android doesn't have much else over ios.
FP has the biggest bunch of android nerds so make sure you know you're talking to some of the most bandwagoning biased phone users to exist and take that into consideration.

Honestly depends on the android phone that you bought. If you bought a low end android phone, your dislike is pretty understandable, but the high end ones like the S3 are easily as good imo. It is a lot down to personal need, too; some of us like the customisation of Android, but most people will be fitted by an iPhone fine.
I like my Galaxy S enough due to my gameboy advance emulator :v:
I'm quite interested in the Nexus 4 when it comes out, it could be nice.
I bought an S3 four weeks ago. Absolutely love it.
I can't really tell you how it compares to an iphone, since I never owned one, but the S3 itself is a hell of an awesome phone.
Make sure to get swiftkey if you actually get it. My typing speed trippled after getting used to that keyboard.

what phone did you use. calling people nerds isn't a good way to get your point across btw.
My FP app was developed on a Nexus

As it was said it really depends on what your preferences are. If you're going for a simple 'just works' experience with little customization than the iPhone is your best bet. If you enjoy customization and an open platform than get an Android.
I've used an iPhone and I loved it, but the experience is extremely uniform. However eventually I switched over to the Galaxy S3 because I enjoy the screen on the S3 as well as custom keyboards, widgets, roms, and easier tethering.
If you want to be poor forever, yes.
Galaxy Nexus here, if you can afford it, certainly. Don't go out of your way though.

You guys realize he's choosing between an S3 and an iPhone 5 right? I don't think money is a concern
I went from an iPhone 3gs to a Samsung Galaxy S2. Best change I ever made with phones, especially since rooting makes the system so open compared to other phones. Being able to throw a video file over wifi or usb to the phone and playing it without any extra software or conversion is good as well.
Yet, as with the iPhones store, a lot of the apps are bad on android too. So counting them shouldn't say which platform has the best applications.
But try each phone at a store, see what you prefer. Just remember, you can customize everything on android. The look, the feel (launchers) and just about every small setting.
Get the Samsung Galaxy SIII.
I've owned android phones for forever, after researching options I'm actually making the switch to the iPhone 5. I always felt that the number one most important thing in a smartphone is the user experience. Being able to pull your phone out of your pocket and being able to do what you want quickly, intuitively, and without fail makes or breaks a smartphone, and I've never had an endearing experience with the various android phones I've owned over the years. Say what you want about Apple's "walled gardens" or price or what have you, they know how to make devices that work without hassle.
I went from an iPhone 4 to a Galaxy S3. Best decision I have ever made in my life. Seriously, you won't regret getting one.
