They're starting to throw in too many HUD elements and gimmicks. In particular, I'm not of a fan of the hitmarkers, outlines through walls, quick throw grenades, and fixed classes.
Round times are only 3 minutes? That seems a bit short for this kind of game, imo. But then again the maps are really small from the looks of it

Ironic, considering that the original CS mod was inspired by the original Rainbow Six.

I was expecting slower gameplay, I suppose

I would assume there will be a competitive mode that removes all of those things.

whats up with the movement?

God what an overly American boring trailer for that first video.
thats the case in csgo and no one really cares about it at all.
The kind of changes between Casual/Competitive in CS:GO are not comparable from what we're taking about with Rainbow Six. CS just gives everyone armor/defuse kits and makes it so that the money system doesn't matter as much. What I would want from RS:S would be the removal of most of the HUD elements, changes to weapon handling/damage, removal of gadgets, removal of the class system, removal of the quick throw for grenades and a completely different magazine reload system. When Ubisoft revealed this game, they clearly tried to appeal to fans of the older games by showing off a sort of pre-game planning system and naming the teams after Rogue Spear and Raven Shield. All this new stuff throws all of that out the door and makes me a lot less excited for the game.
I want a Rainbow game that is a true Rainbow game. I'm sick of this cop CQC stuff in video games. Its not realistic at all. In RSV/RSV2 (my favorites) they had much more realism than what Siege is offering. I'm keeping an eye on it, but I dont have high hopes

[editline]31st March 2015[/editline] and it's also not supposed to be realistic. r6 as a whole is supposed to be a tactical game, but NOT a sim.

The emphasis they put on the game during the E3 reveal, which I thought was careful planning, information gathering, and slower gameplay was what made me really interested in it. I'm looking at these videos here and it seems a lot more different than what the E3 reveal felt like.

If you want Rainbow 6, you play Rogue Spear or Raven Shield. The best in the series. And I feel like Siege is going to just be SPRINT JUMP TWITCH instead of actual team work and finesse Rogue Spear and Raven Shield are far more realistic than Vegas ever was, and Raven Shield to this day has some of the best sound effects. Many people would just reload the 92FS constantly to hear the sounds
I miss the old pacing of the pre-vegas games. All you had to do after that was run like hell and be faster in the sights than the other guy..

Ditch the HB sensor, hitmarkers, last stand and tone down the CoD style run and gun and you've got an amazing game.
