There was an initial attempt by law enforcement, according to reporters on the ground, to hold back anti-Trump demonstrators from the Republican nominee-in-waiting’s supporters. Since that failed police clad in riot gear have been mostly keeping a distance and, it seems, occasionally retreating.
http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/live/2016/jun/02/donald-trump-san-jose-rally-protesters-clash-supporters Live feed from reporters so not much of an article yet. Reports detail a woman being pelted with eggs, numerous flag burnings, and supporters being chased through the streets.
Can somebody tell me the last election season that was filled with such hideous violence and bloody opposition?
Could you do anything to make Trump supporters support him harder than burning fucking US flags while protesting him?
i knew this was going to happen given how large of a latino population san jose has jeez.
So, uh... the way things are going so far, I wouldn't be surprised if Trump actually wins. They're basically helping him get more and more votes. [editline]3rd June 2016[/editline] At this point, I see no valid reason to think that he won't win the US Elections.
At this point I'm starting to think the violent protests against him are his own well-scripted Reichstag Fires to drum up support for him.
Could you do anything to make Trump supporters support him harder than burning fucking US flags while protesting him?
Dress up as Pancho Villa while waving an ISIS flag and reading from a 100 page compendium of personal pronouns.
It's really just a matter of time before someone gets shot for attacking Trump supporters. Also supposedly they are waving Mexican flags, while burning American flags. So much for patriotic Americans.
What this is telling me is if want to live in a future where people don't resort to riots and violence over political disagreements then I should vote for Trump
Read this as a "volcano erupts"...
way to simultaneously show the opposition how stupid you are and entrench them further in their own views

i'm not even surprised or shocked anymore
So, if Trump actually wins, it's completely on them. They brought it on themselves. They made a complete ass of themselves, thus proving him right at the cost of more votes for him.
Can somebody tell me the last election season that was filled with such hideous violence and bloody opposition?
I do not know my history like some others. I am guessing 1860.
At this point I'm starting to think the violent protests against him are his own well-scripted Reichstag Fires to drum up support for him.
Trump. The troll we deserve.

It seems to be a habit of the far left to be self-defeating. In the US we see violent protesting against Trump, only giving Trump even more support in the end. We see people such as Maduro, who ran Venezuela into the ground under the guise of socialism, endorsing Bernie Sanders and ultimately harming the image of Sanders by having him associated with a dictator. In Australia too, the only time you ever hear about the Socialist Alliance or Socialist Alternative groups is when they're involved in a violent protest. Maybe if more people on the far left found a brain, then maybe the general population will become more sympathetic to their ideals, rather than associating them with corruption and violence.
At this point I'm starting to think the violent protests against him are his own well-scripted Reichstag Fires to drum up support for him.
Given how perfectly these 'protestors' seem to portray immigration from Mexico in an almost cartoon-villain fashion to the average Trump supporter, even going so far as to be burning US flags and waving Mexican ones, I'm starting to think you're right. Something about this stinks.
Can somebody tell me the last election season that was filled with such hideous violence and bloody opposition?
This doesn't come close to how bad the '68 Democratic National Convention was.
Guess this is what happens when you antagonize a large portion of the population, who would have thought.
This doesn't come close to how bad the '68 Democratic National Convention was.
I listed 1860 because that was when Lincoln was in office. Would the Civil War Count?
Guess this is what happens when you antagonize a large portion of the population, who would have thought.
That's no excuse to act this violent against people, even if they support Trump.
As Winston Churchill said: "The fascists of the future will be the anti-fascists." Because people can go from one extreme to the other and be blind to that they're becoming what they're fighting against.
Most of them are probably scared of being deported, and for this type of shit, I hope they get a one way ticket and never come back.
What's fucking stupid is he supported Amnesty and only threatened to deport people with criminal convictions until the god damn Chicanos started attacking his rallies, burning police cars while waving Mexican flags. Fuck I hate Chicanos, I'm so glad they're mainly contained to California and Arizona. [editline]June 6th 2016[/editline] I love how all the white people that attacked me for this post just showed how much they don't know about Hispanics and how racist they are in their ignorance by trying to label me the same. So to repeat: Fuck Chicanos I'm not backing down since everyone in the Hispanic community hates them too, Tejanos, Mexicanos, Paisanos, Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, we all hate those fascist Californian pieces of shit.

Well gee what do you expect when you threaten and antagonize a large population like Mexican Americans? Not saying it's the right thing to do but Trumps divisive, racist, bullshit policies are a large part to blame.

The press is to blame. He says these things to generate publicity. The press loooooooves controversy because it gives them ratings. Ratings means money. If the press did not need or desire sensationalism, Trump would have no power.
Going to quote this so you don't try to remove your hilariously racist post.
Oh look, the little white boy is trying to win points with my people by calling a latino "racist" for calling out other latinos for their bullshit. That said blanquito, I didn't know I could be "racist" against a radical mexican-supremacist nationalist movement. [editline]3rd June 2016[/editline]
I like how you use the word "Chicano" so it doesn't sound as racist as saying "I hate Mexicans"
Oh no, that guy talked down on the Chicano movement, he must be a racist white-supremacist and no-way possible can he actually be a latino. Anyway, I have Mexican blood in my veins and I have Puerto-Rican Citizenship through my Father, and Spanish Citizenship through my great grandmother, so try again.
