Just the sound of one flying near the camera freaks me out.
Did he get stung at all? It doesn't look like it. Either he doesn't care or the bees don't care. Maybe it's both.

The smoke he is using calms the bees as far as I know so I don't think he was stung.
Is there a specific reason he does it by hand? I cringed so hard, when he started touching it.
dear god when he started putting his hand in it.................NOPENOPENOPENOPE!
Looks like he's been using some calming pheromone or something which is otherwise only being naturally emmited by queen bees.
Have I mentioned that I have a crippling phobia of bees

Me too, I went completely stiff when I saw the video
My family and me work with bees and stuff like this is pretty common, i don't even use the protective suits anymore. The stings also don't hurt after 25 or so stings.
He pets the bees and then sticks his hand into them... :suicide:
Reminds me of that one wasp video

I assume it's so he doesn't kill or drop any while scooping.
So much respect for this man.

Okay I'm going to admit honeybees don't really do it for me but seeing wasps and hornets...
if this were shot in Texas it would have been a guy smacking the bumper with a stick and running
hell if i shot this that's what it would be. i am not a clever man. (and im from louisiana too)

Holy fuck, are they stinging him?
I would have just gone through the car wash.
:bees:
flamethrower the entire SUV
The reason he's able to do it with his hand is that the bees are swarming, and will not attack while swarming. Swarming is when bees are in the process of relocating to a new hive, and since they have nothing to protect (besides the queen) they won't sting.

That's a beard of bees, not hair.
That's completely awesome. This video reminds me of the time we had a beehive in one of the pillars supporting the roof on our porch outside our front door. We got to taste fresh honey, and saw all the honeycombs they made.
I think I get it...
He's sifting through the swarm to find the Queen, which he then moves to the manmade hive. The other bees then follow the Queen to the hive and abandon the truck.
Makes sense to me.

Was that what was in that little white container thing he had? Stuff like this makes me cringe and amazes me at the same time.
